STD's...I'm starting to regret sending them...

LOL...my mom said to me last night well you sent your STD's out so you may not get many no's because you are giving everyone a year to put your date aside. Our list is 277 we are hoping it will end up being 250...dammit...now I'm regretting sending them out. Because if you think about it...my mom has some truth in what she is saying...okay venting over!

I hear there is a rule of 15-20% of ur guest WILL NOT come....

I heard this rule and I sooooooooooooo hope it is true...we have too much family and too many friends...love them all but it's just so much $$$$

ask the 2010 brides... I think many of them had a 15 % NOT coming too (I think but u can ask them )

We only sent STD's to people that we definitely wanted to make sure that they came. We send out 40 and we're sending probably around 70 invites

We did the same thing. We only sent them to family and a few close friends. Everyone else will have to wait to get an invite.

Ahhh, my mom said the same thing.

I had my first nightmare last night about people calling me asking why they weren't invited!

Honestly, I don't know if it matters with 8 months to plan or 2...if they can't make it, they can't make it. Finances aren't really going to change, the amount of small children they have won't get smaller, etc!

I wouldn't stress about it.

I'm over the amount I wanted, but I know for a fact that I'm guarenteed a few no's.

Especially that you're a June bride, people will be planning their vacations and stuff.

how many std's did you send out? we have about the same guestlist number and only sent out 100... to bridal party family and a few close friends who we knew woudl come anyway... i know what you mean though... those OOT family members have a year to get their sh*t together and take off get hotels etc... so they will be more prone to come since they have all this time. im still hoping for no's! haha

theres still that 20% rule though. jsut remember - the yes' will come in first, so dont get worried (easier said than done!)
