Steakhouse or other restaurants in Nassau County

Can anyone suggest a steakhouse in Nassau, preferably in Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Baldwin, Long Beach areas?

Where is Ray-nors? East Meadow? Is that a ribs place? Used to be popular - is it still?

There's a place on Lincoln Ave in Rockville Center...I think it's called Frank's...any good?

Ray-nors is on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin. I used to go there all the time with my family. I remember it as a chicken place, but maybe it has changed in recent years.

The place on Lincoln Avenue in RVC has changed so many times, I don't know what it is now. I thought it was Morton's, but I could be wrong.

As for a pure steakhouse, I can't think of any - most are up on Northern Blvd. There's the outback in Island Park, but I don't label that a steakhouse.

What about Major's in East Meadow?

Runyon's (also in EM) has a really good marinated porterhouse.

When I was home for Christmas, I saw that there is a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse by the Roosevelt Field mall. We went to the one in SF for an engagement gift and it was AMAZING!! Its a little pricy, but SO GOOD!

Thanks for the recommendations.

I was mixing up Ray-nors and Runyons. But I think what I wanted was Runyons. However EM was too far for us - tired and hungry.

We went to the Spare Rib in Island Park. Not bad - the drinks were yummy (me - Chocolate martini, FH had pina colada) and I had salmon and creamed spinach and both were tasty (a really nice filet too I have to say) but FH's ribs were not great. He said they were OK, but a bit tough. Oh well. Can't win 'em all.

Anyone been to Jimmy Hayes in Island Park? Looks busy.
