Anyone know a good steak house in Suffolk County. I want to take my FH for dinner on Saturday for our 10 year anniversary, and since I am a vegetarian, I have no clue where to take him. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Ruth's Chris is a chain that has a restaurant - I think in Garden City - it's Nassau, but worth the trip.
My boss loves Pace's Steakhouse - one in Port Jeff and another I think in 25 or 25A a bit west, maybe Smithtown? Port Jeff has a nice atmosphere, haven't been to the other one.
On the south shore, there is a little place near Smithtown road called Murtha's steakhouse - haven't been there but I've been told it's good and there are always a lot of cars in front.

I highly recommend The Clubhouse in Huntington (Jericho Tpke.) I've been to a lot of steakhouses and they're probably one of my favorites (better than Ruth Chris'!)

Burke and Shapiro's in Smithtown is also really good-nice atmosphere too.

I second Pace's..super yummy! I went to the one on 347 in Hauppauge but I am sure both are great!

Tellers in Islip is awesome. It is an old bank converted to a restaurant. I am a semi-veg., but I eat fish. I had a tuna steak that was out of this world. Everything is a la carte so it can be a little pricey. Make a reservation too!
