Steaming your wedding dress

Is anyone worried about having there dress steamed then transporting it to the place you're getting dressed then having like wrinkles in it? or does anyone care if they have the slightest wrinkle??

My RH had a steamer, which we used to steam out the dress on the day of. If not, we would have brought one with us.

was there any complications with like getting a 'stain' with steaming it yourself? I would be so nervous doing that by my self!! cuz i know if theres too much water that gets let out at once it can stain it.......

Nope, we didnt have any problems at all. We did my dress and all the BM's dresses as well.

i was worried but didnt have any problems. They put the dress in the car for me, and was able to lay it straight...once i got home i took it out of the care carefully and made sure not to wrinkle it. Once i got upstairs i put it up and didnt touch it. Worked out fine. The place i bought my dress from is the one who steamed out obviously and i know they do a 3 hour job to steam it. Plus the way they put it in the garment bag they make sure it wont get wrinkled easily

My DOC steamed it that morning for me, and then again before my ceremony

I had mine steamed 2 days before the wedding. It was fine. Im sure it got a little wrinkled after, but at that point i didn't care. LOL

Mine was steamed like 3 weeks before the wedding and I just hung it up the way the bridal place did, then the day of at the hotel I took it out and hung it in the bathroom with the water hot and steamed it that way and there was no wrinkles that I noticed.
