steel drum band

someone had recently reccomended cm productions for a cocktail hour steel drum band. when you called were you able to meet with them or did you book over the phone? any other reccomendations for steel drum bands? also, how far in adavance did you book cocktail hour music? thank you

I am getting married at the Crescent too this October. The CB Club recommended a guy but I dont have his number (I can get it to you or you can call the Crescent). We met with him but ended up booking a 3 man steel drum band for our cocktail hour through our DJ. I believe he charges $650 for the cocktail hour. We also met with Jahpan, a full band. They are very good but were not willing to play certain music in between sets and MC the way we wanted them too. But again, they were very good.

I might have been the person, not certain. I am using them for my cocktail hour. I did not meet with them.

My GF used them 2yrs ago and they were awesome so no need for me to meet them. I came to this conclusion Steel pan can only sound one of 2 ways hi or low.

There is no way someone can play a steel pan badly. IMO that is LOL!!!

I don't think you would need to meet with them. If you don't feel comfortable booking them w/o hearing them live then maybe you can set up something where they can invite you where they are playing I do not know if they do it, but it does not hurt to ask. They are a very reputable company. They have been used by a lot of large firms. You can even listen to them online. Call him his name is Joe Sharone see what he says.
