I hired After Hours and Im on the debate if I want a steel drummer (I am a summer wedding) love the carribean vibe. Or the percussionist (Bopa is his name) that plays all night to the beat of the music. Problem is I want the steel drummer, FH wants the percussionist. Share your thoughts please!!

Steel Drummer or Percussionist - Long Island Weddings
I'm not a big fan of having a percussionist! I find it annoying after a while! but I think having a steel drummer for cocktail hour is great!

We booked with Bopa, so I'm a little biased. Def was FH's idea, but I think its gonna be great.

I think if you are going to have a lot of dance music played, go for the percussionist. I've seen him at a wedding before and thought it was a very nice touch....really made the music pop. Just my opinion though.

We had a steel drummer and it was great for cocktail hour. I feel like getting a percussionist is a waste personally.

Steel Drummer or Percussionist - Long Island Weddings
We went to a wedding a few years ago that was beach themed and they had the steel drums at the cocktail hour. It was a nice touch! I feel like every wedding I've been to in the last two years has had the percussionist at the reception. I'm kind of over it, personally.
