has anyone used them? Are they very expensive? I have my first appt. with pedestals on saturday and I also left messages for Flowers by Brian and I was thinking of calling Stefans too but I have a feeling they are way out of my limit.

Stefans does beautiful work, but they are insanely priced, that is my opinion though....

Hi, we are using Stephan's b/c the temple only gave us two choices, and yes they are expensive, but they will negotiate. I told Chris my budget and he was able to work with me to get what I want.

What temple are you getting married at....I went to look at Stefans and Spitz and Peck as well as Dalsimers..that was my temple's pick..and I felt like Spitz and Peck and Stefans was giving me less than Dalsimer's, but they do AMAZING work....I'm getting married at temple beth el in cedarhurst

Re: Stefans Florist...
I looked at Stefans, which was one of my temple's house florists, and they were significantly more expensive than the florist we chose to use (Colonial in Bellmore). In addition, when Paul took us downstairs to look at the area where the arrangements were made, my dad noticed a lot of wilted flowers. My MIL later heard from a family friend that she was at a wedding where Stefan's forgot the flowers for the church and the reception centerpieces had reused flowers in them! I have heard other very good things about them, though.

Okay thanks! I'll go with the other two and skip Stefans for now.

Re: Stefans Florist...
My temple recommends s&P and stefans, I annoyed my caterer to let me look at dalsimer as well... Pickles, who did you meet with at dalsimer? Thanx!

Re: Stefans Florist...
I met with the owner David, and he was just amazing, thats another reason why I picked them...he was just so down to earth and wasn't imposing what HE wanted, he was listening to me and then went from there....and he was the sweetest thing, when I went to S&P and the others, even though we are spending a lot of money on flowers, I was sitting with what I felt was a sales person and not a florist, even though they are florists...

I really believe first impressions are very important when it comes to vendors.

Thanks for the info... I have an appt. with steven (another owner)... my friend met with him also but didn't like him, so I'm wondering if I should attempt to switch people ...however, I 'm not sure if that's kosher.... always something, right!!

Re: Stefans Florist...
oooh, never met him, which one are you going to, I am dealing iwth the one in cedarhurst bc they are literally down the block from my temple..David's actual last name is Dalsimer, and you would think an owner to be obnoxious and too busy, and he spent so much time with me, I called him 8 million times..I'm going in April to see my sample and finalize everything, I already have changes I need to tell him about.. I'm anal about flowers

Re: Stefans Florist...
I met and spoke to them at a wedding expo at Russo's. I saw some beautiful work. Russo's also recommends them. But I really didn't talk about prices so I'm not sure. I like pedistals better.

I'm going to cederhurst too. Did they show you anything? So far I haven't 'clicked' with anyone yet (although i did like stefans) ...I just want to meet with someone who doesn't try to change my 'vision', u know??.... so hopefully I'll have a positive experience with Dalsimer !!
