Step machine or Tredmill?

Step machine or Tredmill?

Which do you all think is a better work out? I was going to go to wal-mart and get one. I like to walk, but since the weather has been to crappy and I really don't like my neighborhood, I've decided to get a cheap one of these.

I wanted one of the ones that folds up to fit under the bed. Any suggestions??

Thanks!

be careful with those, def go onto epinions and such and find out what other consumers say about them.. alot of them really shake.....

They can shake?! Yikes! Hopefully I'll be able to try one out before I buy it. Not like I'm gonna do awhole workout on it in the store or anything..hehe..but as long as I can see for myself then I'll make the judgement.

Thanks for the info!

lol.. that would be funny to see! haha..

def see for yourself, may I ask how much you are looking to spend? cause a good treadmill will cost you several hundred, almost the thousands...which is the same to a year's membership (if not 2 year) at a gym..

Well, the ones that I saw on wal-mart.com and the sports authority.com had them for $100-$130...which is what I am willing to spend...but I would also spend $200 if it really makes a big difference in the quality. Plus, I need one that can fold b/c I don't have a lot of room for one of the large expensive ones. I just started a new job and I don't have a lot of time to go to the gym...plus I'm a bit embarassed about going to the gym. I'd rather just put on a movie and 'run' or 'step' in the comfort of my own home.

I think I'm going to go out today and look at some when my FH gets home. That way if I DO get something, he can carry it for me!

Why are you embarrassed?!? no way!! silly

Def look into and def get on and see how it is and ask them about your flooring.. like will it not shake as much if you have carpeting or rubber matting underneath, you know? have you thought about a stationary bike? my mom has an old school one and that thing is really good.. it has like a cook timer on it! LMAO!!

I have a ProForm from Sears and I love it. It gets my heart rate going. I think a treadmill will work your body but a stairmaster will give you one hell of an ass.

I have a proform too and just started up using it again. I love it!

Re: Step machine or Tredmill?

How much are the proforms?

I really don't have too much space..and I know from walking through Sears, their models are HUGE.
