Hi, I am just wondering how everyone is including their step parents in the ceremony or reception. Both my parents are walking me down the isle, but I feel like both my step parents are helping out with the wedding also. I don't think either want to do a reading, due to stage fright, but I would really like to thank them. Any ideas?

Re: Step-parents
I had my stepfather escorted down the aisle by his two daughters. This was done before DH's mom was escorted down.

Re: Step-parents
My husband's parents have each remarried. We had his sister escort his stepfather down the aisle, and his sister's boyfriend (soon-to-be fiance) escort his stepmother down the aisle.

Re: Step-parents
My Step-Mother did not want to be recongzined in anyway. We wanted to put her in the program and in the Processional, but she didn't want to take away my mother's thunder. (It's a sticky situation!). So instead we included her for a corsage, she will sit up front, and FH and I got her a VERY nice gift as a thank you. As she's helping pay for the wedding and helped pay for my shower.

Re: Step-parents
My stepmother is getting a coursage - and that's it. Sorry to poop on the post - but I don't like my stepmom! I wish it were different, but oh well. I can't be the only one though, right?
