stepkids? We can make this the official 09 thread!

Will anyone become a stepmom after the wedding? Will the kids live with you and FH or do you only get them part-time?

FH has a son from his prior marriage, and we have his son part-time for one weekend 24-hour period a week and about 4 full weeks during the year (summer vacations, certain holidays, etc.). Since we already live together, our little family life won't change too much and FH's son has known me for quite a while, so luckily drama there!

We can make this the official 09 thread to discuss the sensitive topic of stepkids and any issues we are currently having or think we might have.

I will be a step mom to my FHs 5 year old daughter - we have her Tuesdays (FH is off) and every other saturday night. Although when she starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks it will only be every other saturday night. We have lived together for a while now and I have known her since she was 2 - we're used to each other now

I am going to be a step mom to a 13 yr old boy!
Crazy how when I first met my FH his son was only 6! Time flies. My FH gets him on friday nights through saturday afternoon.

I ALREADY am a step mom to FH's 11 year old daughter and 17year old son. I also have a 4 year old daughter and 7 year old son from my previous marriage. As far as I'm concerned I have 4 kids. The 11 & 17yr olds live with mom right now, but will be living with us when we buy a house (as soon as we find one we like.. lol). We are all very close and are with us now for the summer, but when school starts they will be over with us every weekend. Thank God we're drama free..

I will be a, I like to call it 'bonus' mom to FH's five year old daughter. I have known her since 1/ 1/2 though.

I will be a stepmom to a now 7 year old girl and FH is already a stepdad (even though we dont really use the word step in this situation b/c he is more like his dad ) to my 9 year old son. We have her every tuesday, thursday and every other weekend. It was a bit trying in the beginning b/c of FH's miserable ex but we worked thru it.
