Stepmother Dilema

Stepmother Dilema

Of course I always ask you girls when I have a big question, well here's a doozie for ya! As some of you know I live in an apartment in my fathers' girlfriend's house. Before FH moved in we asked if they would be moving to FL anytime soon (they are looking to move) but they said no not til 2008. She told me 1 month ago she was having a real estate agent come over for a quote, Why, when your not selling yet? So we got into it, because she said she wasn't going to sell and I swore she was going to do it while I was on my HM and not tell me! Well she told me she was putting it on the market, tommorow (this was 3 weeks ago) I said fine, because it caused my dad such heatache that we were fighting, so I wasn't going to fight with her anymore. Anywho, we haven't spoken a word since, except the other night when she was so drunk I don't even think she remembers the conversation (just drunken babble on her end)

Here is my question, I kinda don't want her to walk down the aisle anymore, she can walk into the reception with my dad, just not keen on the idea of havnig someone walk down the aisle (the honor reserved for parents) who cares about me so little would stab me in the back like this and then ignore me, like I did something wrong!

So the question, to let her walk or let her get seated like every other guest?

I say just let her get seated like everyone else. Ryan, sorry you are going through this stress. I hope your last few days before your wedding are as stress free as possible.

Ryan I am torn. I really feel that she should just sit-sadly regardless of that she may still be upset about it. I feel that someone who isnt up front and straight with you on somehting as important as your living situation is a little coniving

BUT at the same time I understand how you feel but she may have only put the house on the market to see how it will peek interest. I know that MOST people I know that have put their homes on the market and arent quite ready to sell put it on at a ridiculous amount just to have it out there. The house may not sell for years.

Think about it this way-if she doesnt walk is this fight worth it? And that is your answer

I would also sit her and if you feel comfortable have her walk in the reception with your dad. So sorry you are going through this especially when you have only a few days left. You will have a great day don' let this get to you. Good luck with whatever you decide.
