Thanks Christine,
Did you go to the florist at all, what colors are you telling them you want.

I will try to find out the bakery and let you know. I just want a simple cake, nothing fancy. I also wanted to see if maybe the can do some kind of Celtic Knot design, who knows, doesnt hurt to ask.

Thanks again, you are alot of help

Hi -
Haven't talked to you in a while Kimberly, how are you? Anyway, if you find out about the bakery, can you post the information. I'm hoping, like you, that they can 'add' a little extra. I wan't snowflakes on my cake. Even if I supply like glittery plastic ones - I just want them placed on there to go with my winter theme. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!! Hope all is going well!!!

Re: Stewart Manor Brides

I never met with the house florist. I called to make an appointment and the woman annoyed me so I didn't bother. We went with a florist close to where we live.

Right now I am thinking of using all white flowers (with green fillers) and of course candellight on the tables. Not too sure yet.

Do you know what you are going with?

Ed told me that as long as you don't want anything crazy,, there baker can handle it without extra charges. I don't know what they consider crazy though.

I would call them instead of e-mailing them I don't think hey check their e-mail that often. My friend thinks it's a bakery on Stewart & Covert but she's not sure.

Please tell me if the can do something Celtic My Fi & I would love that. I was thinking of getting some little shamrocks & horeshoes to put on the cake.
Good Luck All!

Re: Stewart Manor Brides

Christine-
FYI - another girl i know getting married at Stewart Manor in November called the florist too so she could find out about upgrades to the centerpieces. She found the woman to be rude as well- she just snapped at her and said 'it's way to early to be calling me about this NOW'... I have to call to find out about using pine as a filler rather than fern (which i hear should be NO problem, due to the time of year), but I'm nervous what their reaction will be! If they're rude to me, I don't know what I'll do, because we can't afford to buy centerpieces. But I'll be pretty angry!

Kimberly-
So where is the wedding this weekend? Have you done anything else? we just booked our honeymoon. A cruise through the western carribean. I'm starting to look at invitations as well, so that's pretty cool. That's about it right now. Keep me posted on everything!

Re: Stewart Manor Brides

Marni- the wedding next weekend is at Fox Hollow (its memorial day weekend wedding) It should be nice. My one problem with this wedding is the bridesmaids dress were very pricey and yesterday we went to pick the dresses up form the salon and they werent done (so annoying) so we are going to get the day before wedding, I hope all is alright with them.

I am having a few sample invites come in the mail. And once this wedding is over next weekend I am going to start wedding dress shopping again, I love that part.

My father in law to be is hiring a singer for the ceromony and him and Michael are looking into some Irish bands his dad knows. thats is it so far.

I havent gone to any florists yet or done anything about transportation?

I also need to get video person - but Michaels dad also may know someone for that (since I went over budget of pics, i am looking to spend less on video then origianlly planned)

I am not going to upgrade the flowers or change the florist even if she is rude, I need to save money some how, and this seems like a good idea to me.

I will call Stewart Manor and email them. I will post any info I recieve for all of you.
Keep Me posted Stewart Manor Brides
Christine you are the first out of the four of us, so good luck and keep us posted.
