Stewart Manor Brides (& others too!)

Stewart Manor Brides (& others too!)

We went to finalize our arrangements (menu, linens, etc.) tonight, and it was great. The food sounds delicious and I really hope we get to eat it. If you are keeping the centerpieces they offer, they are very cute. With the room decorated for Christmas time, but with us being an interfaith marriage, I didn't want it looking completely Christmas-y. But I had to make it match. So we went with burgandy table clothes with white napkins, and the centerpieces will be the same colors...

We met with Don and he was very nice. I think James will be our maitre'd, which I'm glad about, because I've heard good things about him.

But seeing the room again - all decorated - I just fell in love with it all over again! It's so pretty there - I really think we all made a great choice!

My FH is so cute. We took separate cars, because he had to go somewhere, so when we leave, he calls my cell to 'talk about the meeting'.......he just wanted to see if everything was 'cool'... I love him!

Sorry for babbling - I'm just really excited!

What did you choose for your menu? What about the cake?

James is great! I met him both times I went to Stewart Manor..... I've dealt with Ed mostly though.

Oh Marni, it's so close now! I can only imagine how beautiful SMCC wil be with the holiday decorations. You, your FH and all your guests wil be so amazed when you all walk in the room with everything set up, the flowers with candles, and lights dim ~ it's beautiful!! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding:)

I am so excited for you Marni,
things are moving nicely along, I cant believe you day is almost here. It seems like yesterday I was just asking you a million questions about smcc before i booked. Thanks again.

I am glad that you still have those great feelings for the place it most ease your mind at this point in your planning, I know it will look beautiful especially with all the lights, I am jealous about that.

Did you pick your menu out?
what about your cake?

Did you go for a tasting of the food?
did you see smcc set up for another event when you went?

Wow so much
What else do you have to do before the BIG day?
are you having a rehearsal dinner? if so when.

keep us posted
bye

Re: Stewart Manor Brides (& others too!)

Thanks for the support and well wishes my fellow brides!!

Here's some answers to your questions:

Cake - you do not have a choice of style. You have many choices of fillings though. The only other choice you have is tiered or layered. This didn't bother me.

Menu: We went with filet mignon, chicken marsala and filet of sole oregenota for the entrees. For hot cocktail hour food we went with sausage and peppers, chicken and broccoli, bowtie primavera, kielbasa and sauerkraut, and eggplant rolletini. For the carving station, we went with turkey. They have about 15 passed hors devours (can't spell), that are automatic - you don't choose.

Kimberly - we went for a tasting before we booked the place. It was delicious...We saw it set up for another wedding when we first booked as well and it was beautiful...

I have sooo much more to do...it scares me. I have a hair trial tonight, dj appt next week, have to call a hundred and one people, the dreaded seating chart, placecards, etc...
