Re: Stewart Manor CC
I will be having my ceremony & reception at SMCC, and I love the venue James and June are wonderful! Was there something in particular that you wanted to know about the place?

We liked Stewart Manor, but didn't like that the Bridal Suite had no bathroom. It was a deal breaker and we ended up going to Larkfield Manor instead.

Love stewart manor, one wedding at a time, rustic looking, great service and attention to detail, did you go check it out yet??

Re: Stewart Manor CC
i was there in nov for a wedding and while the decor was very nice, the dinner wasn't so good and our table never received cake. my cousins and i ended up going to the diner after it was over. hopefully that was just a 1 time thing. my other cousin got married there in 2003 and everything was fine.

Re: Stewart Manor CC
Thanks ladies for all the input! I have not gone there to visit yet, but love the way everything looks on their webiste. I visited their sister venue, the Sans Souci, but I think I prefer the rustic feel that the manor seems to have. I guess my main concern was if the food is good there, anyone have a tasting as of yet? Also, is there a separate cocktail hour room, it looks as though they only show 1 room in their photos online.

Re: Stewart Manor CC
I will not have my tastsing until the new year, but I have heard raves about the food. SMCC has a main reception room, cocktail hour space, and bar, as well as the foyer (with a coat room off to the side)
I agree - I love the rustic and homey feel I get from the space.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I will now definitely be making a call for an appt. to see the manor in the new year!

Re: Stewart Manor CC
Just a suggestion, but if you are into the 'rustic' look, I would check out Douglaston Manor. I actually also looked at SMCC, but in the end, went with DM.
