At the Jerhico Terrace my maitre'd
is a friend of the family for 35 years..He gave us a wonderful deal but he never mentioned what we should give him.
He won't be at the party till later..

Do I tip him or do I get him something..

I am getting HE will be insulted if I give him cash bc he is FAMILY Really!

Will he attending as a guest or as a maitre'd? If he's working, I would offer him cash, if he insists on not taking it, maybe have a basket of good wines sent to him as a Thank You.

I would agree, if he is working then at least make the offer....
If he adamantly refuses, send a nice gift afterwards...
