Still have not ordered my invitations - freaking out!!

I've been looking for THE invitation for months, just can't find anything I like.. went to Kate's paperie last night and they quoted me $2500 for everything...and it wasn't even something that I absolutely loved.

I am cutting it REALLY close aren't I? I just want to cry!

You have at least until the end of April.

Do you have an idea of what you want? Have you considered having them custom made?

You're still okay... I ordered my invites in August for my November wedding. They only took a week to come in after we approved the proof.

Relax, you've still got some time. We just got our invites and I'm 2 months before you. You'll find something, don't worry!! Also remember not to stress over these, most of them will only end up in the garbage.

I was told it needs 6-8 weeks to print!
that means I gotta order them NOW.

It's true, many companies do require that amount of time. Especially custom made ones.

We went the DiY route for our invitations b/c the quotes we received for what we wanted was wayyyy out of our budget.

They cam e really fast and the proof process was quick too.

We had ours custom made through a local printer. We were orginally going to go through Rexcraft (I think their turn around time was only like 2 weeks as well) But they couldn't incorporate the hebrew we wanted on the invitation. So we went the custom made route. We needed 275 invitations and the price was very affordable.

You still have time. My invitations only took about 3 weeks to come. We ordered them in the beginning of Feb and are sending them tomorrow. We had a hard time with this too, we started looking in September!

ours didn't take long to come in... we ordered from annswedding.com... they came quickly and we had no problems... and we paid only about $300 for 100 invites, inner and outer envelopes, response cards with envelopes and reception cards.... not bad!
i think you still have time, but i would try by the end of the month to do it

You still have time, try not to get nervous.

Also, IMO, $2,500 is A LOT to spend on invitations. There are SO MANY nice invites out there, online or not, to choose from.

Not necessarily. Mine were letterpress and only took about 4 weeks., maybe 5 total. Definitely not 8. You're probably in NY though. This place was in DC, but I'm sure there are nice invitation stores around where you are. The nice thing about the letterpress route is that you can choose a design for the top, the color of the ink, and the font all separately, and you can mix and match from different invitation companies. At least, that is how it was for me. It was $$$ but less than $2500. FM me for info.

ETA: Oh, I also didn't like the paper that the sample invite was printed on, so I changed that too.

I ordered my invites in December for my March wedding! So don't worry about time. Check out Fairy Tale Affairs in Massapequa Park. They have beautiful invitations and a lot of thier stuff is very different. I had a hard time chosing an invite too. Don't sweat it!
