Still haven't decided on bottles...

can you tell me pros/cons of the ones you've used?

I use the Platex Nursers/Disposable. I love them. I haven't had any problems with them whatsoever. I highly recommend them. I also got them because the nipples are good if you're baby is going to be breastfeeding at all.

I started out with Avent and am now using Dr. Browns. Avent were horrible in my opinion. Jack got so much air and was always crying with gas pains. He would blow into the bottle and the whole nipple and half the formula would fill up with bubbles. Plus the Avent leak unless you tighten them just right...not too tight and not too lose. Dr Browns work much better for us....not air, no gas, no leaks. BTW, Walmart has the 3 pack of Dr. Browns 8 oz bottles for $12...the cheapest I've found.

I TOTALLY agree! The Dr. Browns are wonderful for Emily. I had the Avent and she cried and cried with gas. When I switched to Dr. Browns we had less crying( Soy stopped all gas crying). They also reduce burping and spit up.

Remember, sometimes the baby choices the bottle, not the mommy.

I used breastmilk in Playtex nursers with the silicon nipples. Now I use the VentAirs with the silicon nipples. Molly never liked the Advents. She picked a nipple and only liked that one.

Playtex nurser here too...Nicholas had horrible problems with gas, using the Advent and Dr. Browns...

I had heard these type of stories before I had the baby, so I had registered for Dr. Browns. I have never used anything else to compare, but she has never yet had a gas pain or any colick or anything, I am very happy with them. My best friends newborn was having trouble with Avents and I lent her the smaller Dr. Browns that I wasn't using anymore, and she loved them.
