Still Looking for a Photographer...

Still Looking for a Photographer...

So I met with one of 'the best photographers' on Long Island. Apparently that doesn't give him any class. During our 1 hour meeting, we listened to him rant about other photog's on the island and about one in particular. It was horrible, and he just had the type of personality that you didn't want to say anything. Just let him go and hopefully he will shut up. Everytime we said something he went on another rampage!!!

I met with Personal Touch photography at a Bridal Show a few months ago and really loved there work. The added a lot of great little extras like making the e-pictures into a guest book and giving a 'honeymoon album' before you leave the reception. I made an appt to meet with them this week.

Which brings me to my actual question... Has anyone worked with them?

That is so funny because one of the photographers that is a vendor on this site i met with and he bashed another photographer as well. If you dont mind either posting or fming me who you met with i wonder if it is the same guy lol.

I reccommend F I N E A R T. When we met them we felt so comfortable and their work was amazing.

We worked with Jon at TimeXposures. A friend of mine recommended him and not only did I book him for my wedding, my two friends did as well. Jon does amazing work and he really has the best personality. Everyone in my bridal party commented on how great he was. Our proofs were ready right after our wedding and everyone of them was fantastic (and I don't like taking pictures!).

I wholeheartedly recommend 12th Night in Garden City Park. Great pictures, great people, no BS. I had a similar experience with one of the 'best' and it disgusted me. Good luck!!

I agree with Denise that Something in Blue and Blue Daisy are both great. I'd also recommend my photographer, Kenny Pang.

However, if you're looking for little extras like those engagement/honeymoon albums, none of those photographers are probably for you. SIB, Blue Daisy and KP are all selling a service rather than the package extras. While they do albums if you want them to, they don't throw things like that in as an extra.

I know Blue Daisy has a package that includes an engagement album which can be used as a guest book for the wedding…it’s not so much a throw in extra, but it is something you get with a certain package.

I would also recommend Blue Daisy. She can work with you on the price. If you would like something like that, you can see if you can get rid of something else in the package that you dont need. Its worth talking to her!

well its not so much that they won't but its harder for them to do it the way other companies do...They aren't funded by a big company, all the expenses are out of pocket for them since they are self-employed. It's not like a big company where they pay for equipment for their photographers and they have everything at their disposal

my sister used him and he was great. The only reason that we didnt book with him was because my FH and I didnt want the same looking parent books and album and poses as my sister.

Try Blue Daisy. One of the girls used her for their wedding at the Atlantica and her pics were gorgeous. You'd have to do a search though sorry dont have her info.

I highly recommend Leli photography! They are a vendor on here. Gary is awesome! We met with him and felt comfortable right away. His albums are really nice. FH and I just loved his style. We are doing our E-pics on August 13th. I can't wait. Check out his website at http://www

12th Night and Thomas Paul were both great experiences for me...both men were extremely down to earth, UN-salesman like, honest, and gave you reasonable prices with QUALITY work.

Something in Blue, I also looked into, and thats great if your really into photojournalistic pictures especially, but they to me, were very very $$$$, more then Angelica Glass even, and they do NOT budge on price at all..... I asked.

We looked at:
F I N E A R T photography (mineola)
Creative Compositions (oyster bay?)
Perceptions Photography (Seaford/Massapequa)
Silverfox Photography (Massapequa)

All did incredible work. Depends on your style and your pricepoint.
We decided on Silverfox.
