and the wedding is in exactly 4 months!! I'm not ashamed to say we a pretty strapped right now. Any suggestions on a videographer with lower rates? (under 1500)

Since you already have a few NYC vendors... you should definitely go with our videographer!! Jose from Halo Video. His rates are under $1000, he is a sweetheart and totally talented!! His office is in Queens and is very convenient to book an appt with. Check out his site: www.halovideo.com

Nick from Rambling Rose video!! I HIGHLY recommend him! He is SOO nice, and had us laughing the whole night. He comes to you too which saves you a trip! Great prices! They customize the package to what YOU want. Check out their site. THey post their prices on the site too. Hope this helps!
Mike from Video Express Productions... by far the finest video we saw during our search (including vendors from this site). he is a nice guy and clearly a professional who has had years of experience shooting weddings. OUr video was part of our package (we also booked photo with him as well) but i think a video on it's own is about $1200.00 ( this would include all-day coverage, fully edited video (with chapters, re-caps, montages, etc.) We are also getting the non-edited footage.

Thanks for the replies ladies! You have made me feel better that I wont have to trust a drunken co-worker with my camcorder from the year 1999.
