Does anyone have any input on St.Lucia? I was thinking about going to Sandals Grande for our honeymoon. I'm also a little nervous about going there in Oct/Nov because of hurricane season.
Any suggestions would be great. Thank you!!!

We are going to St. Lucia and are getting married the week after you! Our travel agent said that hurricane season is from June-November with roughly 50% of the storms occuring in September, another big percentage in August, and the rest scattered through June, July, October, and November.
Statistically speaking, St. Lucia is pretty much safe from the storms anyway. I think it is a great choice!

We booked our honeymoon at the St Lucian Grande! What I loved about St Lucia is Sandals has 3 properties so you can travel between 3 resorts for the price of one. We picked to stay at the Grande because it has the largest property. My good friend went to the Grande 3 years ago for her honeymoon and LOVED it! Check out Sandals website to see pictures.

We are going to St Lucia too! Eveyone who I know has gone absoulutely loves it! If you can afford to go big, go to Sandals! I heard it was the best! We are going to a smaller 4 start resort called Almond Morgan Bay. I am jsut excited to be on the island, see the waterfalls, volcanoes and rainforest!

We are going there for our honeymoon in July for a week. We are staying at the Halcyon Beach resort! I can't wait! Our room opens onto the beach with our own private beach chairs!

OMG Twinn!!!!!!!!! We will probably see each other if you go to Sandals!!!!! We are staying at Sandals Regency for 8 nights and Jade Mountain for 3 nights!!!! Right now we are leaving on Monday the 7th, but we may move it to Sunday the 6th depending on Jet Blue's schedule! Are you leaving right after the wedding too?!!?

I went on my honeymoon in nov too and it was nice but not the nicest place I've been. Stayed at sandals too and the hotel was nice, more the island that wasn't my fav. Don't get me wrong the island is def nice but of all the places I've been I would recommend St maarten. I went there a few years ago in nov as well and it was absolutely beautiful. The crystal clear blue water you expect when going to an island. I think the thing that threw me off w/St Lucia is that the water isn't nearly as clear near shore as other islands I've been to. They have very fine sand and it kicks up really easy near shore giving it cloudy water, when you go off shore on a boat its better. Good luck and def go w/ sandals, their resorts are great!
