It was my first year teaching and the people I work w/ are big happy hour goers. Anyway the second month of school we went out and one of the guys I work w/ brought his friend (fh). I did not even look twice at him, well we ended up going top the crazy donkey later that night and we had such a good time, he asked for my # and didn't call me for about a week, anyway that next weekend we had our first date and 6 months later we moved in together. I always say I was meant to get this particular job b/c I turned down 2 other districts to work where I am now and if it wasn't for my job I would have never met him

I had just recently broken off from a bad relationship with a bad fiance and my best friend convinced me to go out to dinner with people from her job. I would feel better. All of a sudden I hear her saying to this young guy 'so do you have any single friends you can hook Kerri up with? You have to know someone' She gives him my bio (all as if I am not sitting inches away from her) and he says yeah my brother. So 1 blind 7 hour date and I was hooked, the rest is history. hahahaha well they should share the credit...same thing with us i forgot this part, his friend came up to me first to ask me what i think about fh bc FH didnt want to be rejected bc any guy that came near me i was pushing away and wouldn't even say a word just push them away BUT i was doing it bc Fh was standing there and i wanted him to come over i didnt want another guy to ruin it lol. So at our e-party FH gave a speech to his friend for getting us together and being the one who had BALLS to come up to me, yes FH said that into the microphone
LOL ..yeah I can bet the BM speech will contain something like that... Hes either going to be a PIA or cry like a baby. (he cries at everything) darn girl

I know honestly i never really met guys at clubs...One time a few months before FH but again he was there with a bunch of guys i knew. I guess never say never

I was at a party at his apt in astoria and i was signed up for beer pong and had no partner, FH jumped in and now we're partners for life, wow that was cheesy
we met at pace univ... we took african-american literature together. he sits behind me all the time... around mid-terms, i fell asleep on his 'wonderful' report. at the end of the class, the professor announced that we were going to be tested on the other groups reports so i had to borrow his book. he was soo sweet... he even made copies of his notes! from then on, we never stopped talking.
oh yeah, everyone thought we were going out way before we even hooked up! i didn't even know his name!

FH and I met in HS. His last name is just before mine so I sat behind him in a lot of classes so I had a little crush on him soph year. We started hanging out late in our senior year and we started dating officialy on July 4 just after graduation and have been together ever since. We are getting married on our 8th anniversary!

the first week of freshman year of college- he lived across the hall from me and used to use his seat to prop open his door-he would sit in and talk to everyone who walked by! I thought he was so annoying + he was hooking up with another girl on our floor. He always came to our suite and tried to hang out, and we always turned him down. He stopped hooking up with that girl and came to us and said 'I am hanging out with you girls tonight and I'm not taking no for an answer.' My suitemates voted me to 'test the waters,' so if he and his suitemates were cool then I'd tell them to come over. 5 minutes later I was in love hahahahah. He was a senior and was supposed to be graduating that year so he told me he couldnt get serious with me because he didn't want to be a 'big business man and have a girlfriend who's a sophomore in college!!' I didn't speak to him for 2 months including all of winter break-where I purposely had lil flings right in front of his face-including some provocative dance with his brother and cousin at the bar in town!! hahahahah. After we got back from winter break he confessed that he missed me and didn't know what he was thinking and wanted to be with me..BUT before he could, he had to tell me that he slept with my roommate during our 'break.!!!' I knew he was the one and vice versa so I let him sweat it out for a few months and then got back together..it's been gravy ever since.. (true story) SO funny really..it's way better when I tell it in person with animation!! hahahaha

With a history of failed long-term relationships, I was interested in finding 'Mr. Right' but not sure where to go to find him! I decided to try match.com. and signed up for a 6 month trial period. During that time I dated plenty of 'nice guys' but knew they weren't right for me. When I had two weeks left in my membership, I decided to just put it all out there are do a search for EXACTLY what I was looking for. A blue-eyed (always had a weakness for blue eyes), Italian (wanted someone who shared my sense of family values), who lived within 2 miles of my Astoria zipcode. Up popped FH's profile, and I was intrigued. I sent him a 'wink' and he wrote back the very same day.
Within a day or two we started chatting on Instant Messenger, and within a week we were talking on the phone. We had those wonderful long conversations that left my cheeks hurting from laughing so much. I just had oral surgery, and my face was swollen like a chipmunk, so I was delaying a face-to-face meeting as long as possible. I kept saying, 'We get along so well on the phone and we've spent so many days and hours talking together, what if we see each other and find each other really ugly?' FH would laugh and say 'Everything's going to be juuuuuuuust fine.'
When we finally did arrange for a date, I wanted to meet him at Cafe Bar, but FH wouldn't allow it. He was coming to pick me up like a gentleman whether I liked it or not! Fortunately for us, we didn't find each other 'really ugly' (quite the opposite) AND we still had amazing conversation full of fun and laughter. I knew within the first handful of dates that I had found someone very special. Even my friends were predicting marriage within a month of us knowing each other!
I guess I didn't have to go too far to find 'Mr. Right' - we're practically in the same zipcode!
