Interesting article, although the guy at the end who said that weddings supersede things as superficial as money....guess he never planned a wedding, what a dopey thing to say!!!!!!!!!!!!111

very interesting. about half of my planning is done and to tell you the truth, if i were starting my planning now, I dont think I would change a thing. If we didnt spend money, the economy would be worse.

I was thinking the same thing. You can tell he is sooo in the business just to make money.

did u read the comments that people posted about the article?!?! These out of towners are nuts!!! They are completely bashing us LI brides and saying how weddings are a total waste of money! They are even fighting with each other!!

well ... my dad owns his own business and my FH's dad owns a business too ... o yea and FH works for his father's business ... so if i could go back ... i would def change a few things! both family businesses are really slow right now, due to the economy. im just so greatful that im teaching this year because at least i have that money coming in!!! butttt if i could go back ... i would change a few things. I would def force both families to cut their lists!!! and i think i may have even had it a smaller place.

I think the economy effects everything but all the same people are going according to there budgets. My budget is 30K (hopefully stay within that) but someone at my moms job made a comment (she works in atlanta, GA) saying i shouldnt spend that money on a wedding just buy a house instead or save it. lol like um im doing both me and fh are doing good..lol..lol..
