Stolen from '08: Who in Fh's family doesnt like you?

I saw this on the '08 board and thought we should give it a try!

For me: As far as I know, no one on FH's side dislikes me. But then again, he has one aunt whose kinda crazy and probably talks about me behind my back

Funny thread! Well, since this is family only- As far as FH's family, it's so tiny....no room for anyone to dislike me. And they LOVE me cuz FINALLY one of their kids is getting married!!!

As far as friends, even though he would deny it, I think FH's former roommate harbors secret resentment towards me. Pure jealousy for sure.


It's odd cuz he was totally cool to me most of the time...but when he's drunk he just gets really nasty. I'm one of those who believes the truth comes out when you're drunk.

Good thing is we never see the guy anymore and barely hear from him now that's he's in Florida! Good riddance!!

I know one of his cousins def dosen't like me. I can tell. Sometimes I think his Aunt dosen't like me either- cousins mother. I'm sure there are people that don't like me but - honestly- I could give two, not one, but two cr@ps less who likes me and who dosen't

As far as I know they family likes me. I have a great relationship with FFIL and FMIL and one of his sisters. But hey you never know

Hrmm... his sisters LOVE me. I get along wonderfully with both of them and I am really close to his oldest sister.

His oldest brother is indifferent.

His parents are stumped by me... they apparently live in 1950 and have never met a woman who actually can work for a living AND raise children.

The brother that is closest in age to him is the one that doesn't care for me too much. He accused me of 'trapping' Rob when we first announced I was pregnant. Of course Rob told me what he had said and even though FH had already given him the whatfor, I still felt compelled to give my two cents. I told him that if I was going to TRAP someone I would at least go for a guy who at least made more money than I did and didn't live at home with his parents. Since he also lived at home with his parents and made even less money than FH, he wasn't too happy with me. But since he moved a million miles away, I can honestly say that I don't give a flying F*ck.



ETA: FH had sucky friends. I know I sound like a total biatch... but it is true. None of them ever called him unless they needed something. So when we moved in together he basically stopped calling them. The few that continued to stay in touch are still friends with him and I love them to death... but honestly at this point the vast majority of his friends are people that I introduced him to!

I love FH's family and I think they love me or at least that is what they always say and everyone in my family loves FH so I think we are both pretty lucky!

My FH's family all love me I am really close to everyone in his family. His parents have already asked me to call them mom and dad.. and his sister and I are very close.. I hope it stays this way!

In a way I think she thinks I keep FH from her but in all honesty he is just lazy and never wants to drive the 15 minutes to go see her! So I know she thinks it is me that keeps him away! Whatever!!!

I know FF & FMIL love me; which is awesome. FBIL is cool w/ me too.

However, even though FSIL's told my FH that they love me - I don't get that 'warm and fuzzy' feeling from them. When I am around its almost like I don't exist or fit into their sisterly clique and I gotta admit it bother the sh!t out of me. At least I know that its not me; both FSIL's didn't even call my FH on his b-day which is February 15! Biznatches.

for the most part fh's family likes me, however his father definetely wishes he's was marrying someone else. Not thrilled I'm of a different race.

Oooooh good thread and something I don't think we've covered before.

For the most part I think they really like me. Sometimes FFIL can be a little bit of a bear to deal with (very old school Sicilian and isn't crazy about his son's wife traveling on business and being 3 years older than him) but I don't let it bother me and I know how to handle him. Sometimes I think FSIL isn't in love with me bc she's a bit of a princess and NEEDS to be catered to. But all in all I think they like me
