Stolen from 08....What was your and your FH's first date?
First I thought we were going to a friends BBQ but he lied and it was just the two of us. We went to see the sunset at Robert Moses and then to a rest. on the Nautial Mile whose name I cannot remember right now!! It was the beginning of it all!!!

Well, we met on match.com, so first we had the obligatory coffee date at Classy Coffee in Huntington. Once we realized we liked each other, we continued the night with drinks.

It was actually a blind date. We talked prior to that for 9 hours on the phone. yes 9 Hours straight ! We went out to lunch(sat outside) on a Sunday, Walk through Central Park, and then went a saw a movie. We couldnt leave each other....it was the best date I ever had.

We went hiking together, but it wasn't really a date - we had met the week before while I was hiking with an ex (who FH thought was a current BF). I emailed FH and asked if he wanted to get together - it was on that hike that I made sure he knew the guy I had been hiking with was an ex

I have to admit that we both aren't quite sure. We used to work together and hang out after work with a bunch of people all the time and it just naturally evolved. I think our first real date by ourselves though was a movie-- we had to go back through our old ticket stubs to find the one for that movie to figure out our date!

us too! but we met on jdate.com and it was Starbucks, not Classy Coffee. Then we went to Chilis for dinner and then took a walk in Eisenhawer Park where we had our first kiss.

Well, we met up at JFK airport, he checked into his hotel, then we went to Arriba Arriba for dinner and O'Flaherty's for drinks after (both in the city). It was a WILD night!

We went to a bar/lounge in Astoria. We just talked for hours (neither of us drank b/c we were both driving) and we really got to know each other better!
I was sad when I saw the place had closed down.

I must have REALLY liked FH right off the bat b/c after this first date, I can't believe I actually went on another.
He had asked me if I minded stopping in at a local bar b/c he had run into an old friend earlier in the day. I really didn't care. He said 'oh and it has good food so we'll just eat there.' Okay, whatever. Well here it is, Jan. 11 and he takes me to a friggan BOATER bar which is not only gross but dead and when we went in, the bartender says 'Oh. I hope you aren't here for dinner. The cook got drunk and had to go home.' Wow! What a fine dining establishment that was!
So what do you get with no food + plenty of drinks + sleepover - 'lady like' judgment? A marriage made in heaven. And there you have it folks. The rest is history!
P.S. Should I have daughters, they will NEVER know that story!

We met by chance at Starbucks and went out for pizza to Nino's in Bayridge.

We went to the movies and saw The Sixth Sense. His mom drove us in her minivan because he had just gotten his learners permit and she wouldn't let him drive! It was so cute because he wouldn't cancel because of it, he still wanted to go with mom in the van and everything!
