Stolen from NW: Trends you hate

and wish would disappear ASAP... What's your thoughts?!?!

I agree with the NW's... I always hated uggs and those huge asss sunglasses... I actually like the leggings look, but only on the right body type...

I'm not fan of uggs w/ shorts or skirts; uggs should only be worn in the winter and not as a fashion statement ...I absolutley hate crocs.

I work in fashion so I generally love all the new trends. I love my skinnies; my gladiators, scarves, leggings. I've been wearing big sunglasses before they were in style.

Oh I thought of another one... lots of girls in my school walk around with these HUGE (obviously fake) Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, or Fendi bags. Honey, you're thirteen - there's no way you're walking around with a bag that costs more than I make in a month! In general I hate fake bags. If you can't afford it you should just pick something else in your price point.

ITA I would rather have a nice random no-name purse or a more reasonably priced brand than to have a fake purse!

Oh I thought of another kid one... boys with huge fake diamond earrings that are the size of their ear lobe....and when I say 'wow, is that real?' (while trying not to laugh) they always say 'yes' then I tell them
those most have cost $20,000 each then' and they get really quiet

gladiator sandals. EW EW EW

OMG yes that is a good one, dont like them.

I answered on NW but i also said Uggs. I like leggings if they are done right. I usually wear it with a long shirt or sweater and with ballet flats or flat boots. At first i will admit that i thought 'OH NO how are tights back in style' but once i tried it, i loved it and so comfy.

these are a pair of gladiators, fierceness lol.

i dont like gladiator boots, but these I LOVE, they are hot. I was talking about something else

oh and i like skinny jeans too, not on guys though. For me makes me look taller lol. Im short but have long legs for a short person so gives a different illusion lol. Also i gain all my weight on my arms, and stomach and dont gain on my legs, so to emphasize on that makes me look thinner, another illusion

Definitely UGGS! Are they called that because they're so darn ugly? I'm sorry to all the ladies who like them, but come on! I LOVE boots. They are my passion, and I'm all about comfort. But, these things are just weird looking.

I love all my uggs

I would wear them in the summer if i could

why wouldn't you wear them in the summer? they were actually meant for the beach. Uggs started for surfers and to wear on the beach. Its sheep skin so what they are meant to do is keep feet cool in the summer but also warm in the winter. But they started in Australia and meant for the beach.

opps my friends and i were 'those girls' with all the real designer bags. once we turned 16 we got jobs and paid for a lot on our own, but i did get a few pradas and vuittons for birthdays and/or christmas. i still use then today-i kept good care of my stuff, and if i didnt, my parents probably would not have gotten me nice things.

I def agree with this purse comment, give me a no name cute bag from target before I start pretneding, for the most past I dont like these big suitcase bags anyway.........

I am an ugg convert like many....hated them until I got a pair

Don't mind the skinny jeans on girls, but I think guys look silly....

Not a big hat person unless you need it to block the sun.....it hate when guys esp wear hats (with bling makes iteven worse) out and to the side. Fh goes around the bar 'fixing them' for people...good thing he is bigger then them

but you said you paid for most on your own ya know. Plus im talking about like 13-14 years old. If youre like 17 and older its not that bad. Don't get me wrong my parents got me stuff too, but its funny bc i say i wont do what they did. I got designer bags for my bday too but when i was 16 it wasn't in style, well kids our age none of them had it. It started more when i was like 20 or so thats when everyone started getting them, at 16 i wasnt even dressing girly yet, the style then was still with baggy pants, timbs and my thing was polo sweaters with the flags on them or the polo bear lol. When i was 16 it was DKNY bags that everyone had lol, funny how things change. Im older than some so was a bit different when I was in HS

its funny bc dh and i had this argument not long ago. I said i cant stand when i see 12-13 yr olds with iphones or even younger kids on cell phones, I dont blame the kids but the parents. DH turned around and said 'like you didnt have a cell phone when you were a teenager' well at 12-13 it was beepers lol but yeah once it came out i did, and i was an only child so did get things. BUt its funny bc now i look at it and i think oh god give me a break lol. I wont do it with my kids, well not putting my parents down at all but i will be a little different when it comes to this.

definitely hear ya. like you said, it was different back then, i remember dkny, polo, and nike airmax being popular in 5th grade- so tahts what we had (still alittle ridic). i feel like kids now are growing up too fast. there are def certain things i wont do, but others that i will. i dont think i'll get my kids a cell phone-they can use mine when they go out. am im definitely not getting them their own pc's or laptops.
sorry im turing this thread into something else. im done.

oh yeah i remember those airmax, and yeah they were expensive for sneakers and although there were different styles then still things looking back now at my parents spending money they earned for these things. I never begged for anything but my parents just wanted to give me things they never had. Which is what a lot of parents do i guess. I mean some arent bad getting stuff here and there that is different. But SOME just some parents go too far and some of these kids get out of control. I sound old now so i'll stop
