I'm a Bride of 2009....
I'm Danielle...I married Stuart my DH on August 22, 2009! It was truly the best day of my entire life.
LIW was my saving grace. I couldn't have planned a wedding without the help of each and everyone of you ladies. The friendships I have made will take me through my whole life.
Me and DH are expecting our first baby in August and we are really ready to explore our future as a family. I am ready to move from being a 'bride' and a 'newleywed' to being a 'wife' and a 'mommy'
More importantly, I wish every single one of you the best life possible.

I'm Jessica I married Chris my DH on August 15, 2009! It was truly the best day of my entire life.
I foung LIW late in my wedding planning, but i am so glad i did! not only did i get some great tips/advice/ideas, but i met the best group of girls!! Its been a pleasure being part of this site and makes me sad that our newlywed year is over!
I guess tho its on to the next chapter in our lives! we have come a long way since i first found LIW...we got married, bought a house and now are expecting our first baby in June! Everything ive ever wanted!

My name is Lila and I I married Nick on January 18, 2009. The day was the happiest of my life.
I found LIW through Google. Being the first of my friends to get married I was constantly Googling to try to find answers to my many questions. LIW always seemed to have the answers I was looking for, so I joined the forum and I am so glad I did!
Even though I lived in New Jersey (and now California) and did not get to go to the many G2Gs, I still had a chance to meet many of the wonderful people I had been talking with for nearly 2 years at the 09 Newlywed Brunch.
I'm so glad to have found LIW for all the helpful advice, the great people, and lots of laughs. And now that I look at everyone as they pass into the next step of whatever their married journey is, I feel so lucky that we get to continue to do it together (whether on LIF or Facebook).

My name is Lauren and I stumbled across LIW in 2007 when I started looking for reception halls!
I married my best friend, Brad on July 3, 2009. We had the most incredible day and since then have had a great first year and a half of being married! We just purchased a home, got 2 bulldog puppies and are hoping to see our fur family turn into a people family soon!
Through LIW I got a ton of advice, great ideas and met some of the most wonderful women I have ever known. I was lucky enough to be the TWOTY 2010 Bride and had such an amazing experience. Thank you to LIW for all that you do!

I'm Michelle and I married my longtime friend and now best friend Jason on August 8, 2009! It was such an amazing day and I will never forget it.
While I registered for LIW almost immediately I didn't happen onto the 09 boards until months later. I wish I had found everyone sooner but the site was such a great help in my planning process. So many of the little details came from my friends on LIW. But honestly I think it was as a newlywed that LIW really became so truly important to me. That tough transition out of the bride stage and into life, I never could have done it without these girls.
DH and I have worked hard on our house and are making some important decisions about our future. We have a wonderful puppy we love and will start trying for our first child sometime this year. We are enjoying our time together, when we get it.
To my LIW girls... even though many of you I have only met once or some not at all, you have become a family to me. The girls i have met I wish I made more GTGs in the past, but I hope we will all become closer still and that I will have the opportunity to form some wonderful life long friends with you all.
I wish you all long happy marriages and wonderful families full of love.

i found this website from a friend and i can say it changed my life..it helped in so many ways with planning but the girls on here are just nothing short of amazing.from gtgs to late night bbms to twoty and the after party these girls have made me smile and laugh more than i ever could.i love them with all my heart and know we will continue our friendships long after this board is closed
we are moving on and looking for a house and working on a baby which we both hope it will come soon
so to ron,kim and liz thank you for everything..from twoty to the sextions that i should have been booted for contests and more..it was a amazing trip

I'm Marissa and I married my best friend Nick on October 23, 2009. I can't believe it was so long ago already!
I found LIW while looking for a reception hall. I didn't stumble upon the forums until much later though. I loved chatting with the ladies here and while I am too much of a coward to ever attend a GTG, I still consider them my friends and loved sharing my life with them here - and now on LIF.
DH and I are expecting our first baby in May of this year and couldn't be more happy and excited. I haven't thought of wedding planning in a long time but I'll never forget how much this site meant to me as a planning tool, an outlet and one of the best ways to pass my time.

I'm Vivian. I married the love of my life, my best friend on May 24, 2009. This was the best day of my life ! (beside the day that our daughter was born )
I found LIW through googlin' and searchin' on the internet in early 2007. I am so glad that I found this website. I love every minute and every moment when I was on the site..... This had help me so much through my wedding planning from picking vendors to venues and advices and tips. I met some amazing, incredible & sincere ladies on here who I am so thankful to get to know and become friends with.
We have grown so much through the entire process of wedding planning and throughout the years. We bought a new home, finally learn how to save money and

I'm Colleen, I married my best friend Tom on July 2nd 2009 at Flowerfield, St. James. I wish i could re-do the day over and over again, it was truly the best day of our lives.
After getting engaged I was searching for a color scheme and i stumbled across Long Island Weddings, at first i had no idea what i was doing and what i would learn from it, but little did I know it was a place that i could get ideas, share ideas, vent about pretty much everything and make friends for a lifetime.
Our journey has just begun, there are so many things that we have planned for the future- i can't wait to see what we accomplish.

I'm Becky and I married my Danny on October 9, 2009 at St. Isidore/Giorgio's. We had the perfect wedding.
I found LIW in April 2008 right after getting engaged and looking at reception halls. I wouldn't have had nearly the details and fun touches if I didn't find this place.
We now have a house and furbaby, Ruby, a 1.5 yr old 6 lb Yorkie and will try to start a family in about a year when I'm nearly done with nursing school.

I'm Megan, and I married my best friend Scott on July 11, 2009 at Fox Hollow in Woodbury. It was such an incredibly fun and meaningful day. . .a great excuse for all of our family members to be in one place at the same time!
After getting engaged I was trying to find ideas for invitation designs and a solid idea of what my color scheme should be. . .and Google took me to LIW! I was intimidated by the Chat at first because everybody was already BFF to the max, but the '09 girls welcomed me with open arms. I've yet to make it to a G2G, so hopefully when we have another one, I will finally meet the wonderful girls who I talked to on here in person instead of just on LIW or FB!
As for Scott and I, we are well underway with our journey. Over these past 18-19 months of marriage, we bought a house, adopted a second cat, gained a niece via my sister (an '07 bride lurker who never chatted on LIW), lost a grandparent and a K9 best friend, discovered that Obama truly intended for our first time homeowners tax credit to be used to buy a French drain system after a massive basement flood. . .certainly an exciting ride. We're looking forward to returning to our HM state, California, in February and starting a family by 2013.

My name is Gina. I married my wonderful amazing husband Joe on November 14, 2009. The day was absolutely incredible and everything I dreamed it would be.
I found LIW after googling for BM dresses. I never thought I would enjoy a chat site so much. I cannot believe how quickly LIW became a part of my daily life. I feel like the 09 brides are the warmest, most welcoming, amazing ladies in the world.
We have spent the last 15 months of our lives settling in together, traveling, working on our house and having the ongoing 'should we have a baby' debate. It's been an amazing journey and I am sad to see this board come to an end.

Im Vicki I married my best friend for life Joe on Saturday, February 14th, 2009. It washonestly, the very best day of our lives. I wouldnt change a single thing.
I found LIW by sheer mistake. But thank goodness i did. It helped me so much in terms of vendors & ideas. The girls on here, SUPER helpful. I made some unbelieveable friends that i know i will have in my life forever. It really is the most amazing website & forum around. I truly thank LIW & the 09 brides for everything. The good, the bad & even the ugly. It sure was well worth it!

My name is Emily and I married my best friend NOA on June 28, 2009. It was the MOST AMAZING DAY OF OUR LIVES!!!
I came across LIW while searching for a reception hall. Eventually I joined and it changed my life forever. There are soo many great memories we shared, cried, laughed and discussed things that no one else would of understood but us. I'm grateful because I met sooo many wonderful girls whom I will always stay in contact with FOREVER.
In other wonderful news, on our 1st year anniversary we found out we were expecting our first child!!!! Life is just GREAT!

I am a bride from 2009...
My name is Ali, and Alex and I got married on December 5, 2009. It was a monsoon from hell on our day, but I didn't let it get me down! Everything (almost) went off without a hitch, and we had such a blast! People are still talking about how the food at Villa Lombardi's was amazing, and still say how they never saw two people dance as much and have as much fun at their own wedding as us.
I discovered LIW back in college, way before DH and I were even engaged. I didn't think I'd be posting here actively, and then oops, I turned in to one of the more active posters of 09 But I'm glad I did, because I made a lot of friends who I still keep in touch with, and hope to in the future.
And most shockingly of all...just a little over 10 months of marriage, DH and I found out that we were expecting our first child! So much for the 2 year plan....and the Greece Honeymoon slated for 2011. We couldn't be happier though, and count our blessings every day that we are fortunate enough to be given this gift. I've moseyed on over to LIF as all preggos seem to do...but I'll always be an LIW-er at heart.

I am a bride of 2009.
My name is Tracey, and I married my best friend John on December 12, 2009, at the Estate at East Wind.
I found LIW fairly early in my process, but we had a relatively short engagement compared to some of you (i.e. Lauren, on 2 years before the wedding). We were engaged in February. One of my best friends passed away suddenly a few years ago, and when I got engaged, her sister told me all about LIW and what a resource it was for her. I thank her so much for doing so. I wouldn't have found my band videographer, photographer, invitation person (although that was a rough ride), etc... without LIW and all of you!
Since the wedding, I am no longer practicing law in CT. We are still living there, but I am now working for my family's corporation, and commute to Bethpage every day. I also started business school, and am going full time to Columbia for my executive MBA (on top of working full time). We are in the process of trying to move to LI, it's been a long struggle but we hope to make it soon!
I have not met any of you, but I feel like I know so many of you so well. I hope to meet you when I move to LI, if it's not too late to join in the in-person fun!

I had the BEST time on this website and even though I've moved over to LIF, planning my wedding & my wedding day were the best times of my life and nycityweddings.com was a huge part of that. I had a blast, thanks ladies.
Its 2011 and DH & I are totally still living it up. We are having a blast and just got back from Christmas in the Bahamas. Looking forward to our trip to Cali this summer.
