'Stolen Ideas'

What are the best wedding ideas that you have gotten from this site?

The one idea I stole from this web site long long ago was what I would be doing for the church.

I saw these awesome small 2x2 clear 'vellum' like enevelopes posted one here on LIW's and they were filled with something to be thrown at the as they came out of the church as a married couple. The elevelopes were sealed with a sticker label of the names and date of the wedding. I love the idea and had to do it for myself. Ordered them right away and actully just today spent some time stuffing and sealing each one. Mine are stuffed with the candy small heart shape rice and my label has a white dove on it with our names and the date of our wedding. I put all 100 of them into a pretty white basket to be handed out at the church.

Same here...i had never heard of it before and we are pretty sure that we will be getting one! Also, votive placecards-I LOVE that idea and will be using it also! Thanks ladies!

Cry packs and rose petal cones. Groom's cake at RD and anniversary dance in lieu of bouquet/garter toss.

idea of doing a theme - and lots of help for that

Fh and I are not doing the Bo-k toss ... we think it is very 80's and imbarrising for those that catch it.

anniversary dance is when you have all the married couples dance - and the DJ or band slowly tells tose that have not been married 5 years to step off and then 10 and so on to the longest married couple recieves the bouquet

Wow my mother will love that! She's been rambling on about how all her friends have anniversarys.. blablabla (i've been getting a little huffy about this- it's my wedding! wah! i'm a bridzilla! hehe)

ETA: Would this be the toss bouquet?
