Re: stony brook hospital visiting hours
I think 2-8 is general visiting up there, but like others have said, my Mom was up there at 10am and no one said a word. She stayed until 10 pm one night and my hubby stayed until 1am.

Thanks! I called (it took me a while to find the number on the website) and the general operator said 2-7

ughhh...the visiting hours at Stony Brook are WAAYYYYY too long for the new moms, IMO. I hated being there when I had Scotty I had 10-15 people in my room allll day long.

I agree, too long! And the baby is in the room with you the entire time, so you never get a break! and everyone;s germs are all over the baby, I never understood that policy with Stony Brook, doctors tell you to stay away from crowds for the forst few weeks, but they allow 10 people in a tiny, room with a baby less than 24 hrs old, does that make sense?

Re: stony brook hospital visiting hours
they STRONGLY encourage it, that is why there are so many provate rooms. I hated it, algthough the care from the nurses was great, I could have done without the long visiting hrs.
