My mother is whining from the other room that it's tacky to put my registry info into my shower invites.
My rubber stamped and Sharpied invites, which are the epitome of style, class, and sophistication.
It's a good thing I have a sense of humor, otherwise I'd be dead by now.

Tell your mom this-
According to Emily Post's Wedding Etiquette, it is absolutely appropriate to list on an invitation, or provide an additional card, on where the bride and groom are registered, if and ONLY IF it's for a shower. A bridal shower is all about gifts, which is why it is fine to have the registry info provided.
However if it's an engagment party or wedding, you are not to list such information, because both events are NOT focused on gifts, but on the couple getting married.

Ali if she won't budge reach a compromise and have her put registry information available on their wedding website, and put it there. Though older relatives still won't know, but its better then nothing.
