is there anyway to do this with medication....i am not on the pill and its too soon to the wedding to start. has anyone taken a pill to stop it? im desperate!!!

Call your GYN. I've heard of something to stop it for a few days but the only downside is you can't drink alcohol. Ask your Dr.

No, I'm sorry....
I don't think there is a way of stopping your menstrual cycle without taking birth control pills.
I even tried google without any luck.

The depo shot stops the period.. usually within one cycle.. lasts for 3 months a shot
Thats what ive been taking for awhile. i know alot of people don't liek ths shot but its been a life saver for me

will the depo shot worknif im gonna get my period soon, lets just hope i get it before i guess, i have 9 days and i usually only get it for aabout 4 so if i get it by the weekend or monday ill be ok, the wed is next friday

ok, i would never suggest that as a solution to a problem. ever.
honestly, just take what comes along in stride. it's not the end of the world if AF is present and accounted for on your wedding day or HM...it will not be your happiest moment...but it will not ruin a thing.
maybe if you just try to be stressed out it won't come?

i have never been regualr, i get it like every 35 days but not to the exact day. Im not exactly surehwn im gonna get it. i called the doc and he said i can go in and get a low dose of BC but hes not sure it will stop it. its not the worsy thing, but i dont want to fell bloated and stuff all day. how will i change a freeken tampon in that huge white dress.....uggggg i guess i just pop a few midol and take a water pill???? any suggestion????

I used to work at a gyn/ob's office and he suggested to me once that I take Depo Provera the pill everyday until I wanted my period again. I was going on vacation and dreaded having my period for it. It is not guaranteed to work, but it worked for me. It made me a little bloated and screwed up my cycle afterwards, but I didn't get my period while I was on vacation.

I was supposed to get my period on day 9 of my honeymoon, but I started a new pack of pills so I didn't get it during the last few days of our trip. However, I am now paying for it as this Friday will be two weeks that I have my period (the first 11 days was break thru bleeding) and now I acutally have my period. Honestly, I say suck it up and have your period on your wedding day. You don't want to chance break thru bleeding while on your honeymoon!!!

if you opt for the depo shot just don't plan on a family right away. It can take some people at least year to get back to normal after one shot.

My period is stopped because of an injection. Im going through menapause (at 28) because of endrometriosis...but before the injection I was on a pill called seasonal and my period stopped. You cant do it without the pill or the injection...and the injection is NO GOOD. Yuck I hate it. Seasonal wasent bad. I forgot what a period is like

NEVER used these things in my life, but some women swear by these things called diva cups (do a google search).
Apparently, they offer protection for 12 hours at a time... Just a thought
