wow. that blows my mind. Im a gay man getting married. I was a little nervous going to catering halls, with that fear. But let me tell you I went to the Swan club. and the person we spoke with diden't even bat an eye. she made us feel right at home. and thats why tomorrow we are putting down our down payment... Thanks swan club your the best.!!!

Good for you. I just can't even believe how some people act...it is just disgusting and beyond reproach. I hope you don't run into any of that during your planning

It turns out this particular bride is getting her Doctorate in woman's studies. I would not be surprised if she sues. I hope she gets awarded the shop and sells it to some lesbians!

Thats a disgrace. Who is she to turn them down? She only hurting herslf and her business. What a ***** (xcuse my language) and i read her yelp reviews it not just aginedt gays/lesbians she refused a black and white couple. And hung up on other lesbiand couples. Everyome complains how rude she is. How is this woman still in business???

I'm sorry hun. This type of behavior is appalling. I just have to remember it stems from ignorance. It is so upsetting though, I read about this and wanted to bring it to attention in as many forums as I could. Im sure this woman wont be in business much longer.

That is HORRIBLE! I don't understand how ppl can have this way of thinking. Everyone has a right to their own opinions but to act like that and be so hateful? Uggh its disgusts me! I'm so happy that NYC finally passed the law for gay/lesbian marriages. I feel like it should have never ever even been an issue. Ppl who still act this way you wish you could just shake and slap some sense into them!!

I'm so glad that you had a positive experience dealing with vendors so far and I hope it only continues. People are so close minded it makes me livid.

disgusting and stupid. with gay marriage legalized i'd think it'd be another angle to get more sales! i've seen a few catering halls specifically advertising for that to bring in new clientele, plus, word of mouth goes a long way. i wouldn't give any money to a store so close-minded.

On behalf of breeders everywhere,I am so sorry. I think you have just as much of right to get married as everyone else. I know I'm particularly liberal, but in this day and age, her behavior is unacceptable and embarrassing. I hope LIW has shown you that this b!tch is in the minority and most of us support your rights. I marched in the Millennium March and I would march against her if I could.

if they are happy then leave them alone! its not anyone else's right or decision to have an opinion ( and voice if obnoxiosly ) what gives her the right to judge??
