Storing Wine In Trunk, Bad?

So we got our red wine favors since last week and my FH said it's ok to store it in the trunk until we need to bring 'em to the reception hall next week.

The weather has been kinda hot and cold lately.
I wonder if this is bad for the wine. It will be in the trunk for another week unless we do something about it. Any thoughts? I think it is bad for the wine but FH doesn't want to schlep them upstairs to our 4th floor walkup. Is this bad?

no u def want to keep it in a cool dry spot! Trunks arent a good spot!

Its only bad if it is hot. Then it gets a weird off taste. I think the weather is going to be cool this week so you are probably safe.

I only know this because I am a wino.
Just kidding I work for a wine and spirit distributor.

we have the car in the basement of a garage so we just wanted to make sure if this is ok..
