Storing your dress

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone already got their dress in? If so, is anyone storing it at home until the wedding? The store had no more room to hold anyones dresses they are so full! I had to take it home. I purchased a garment bag from the store to keep it in but Im so nervous!! Should I be doing anything else for it? I have it in a dark closet like they told me but it sometimes gets hot in there. Im scared of discoloration and stuff...I will say I am happy that I have it in my possession so I can check on it once in a while LoL

It might be a bit hot during the day but its out of the sun and the closet door stays closed all the time.. at night my sis has the AC on in her room so its cool then.. Im sooo tempted to put it on all the time but I won't I don't want to risk anything happening to it..

my co-worker (who has had her dress for almost 2 years now) said to wrap it in a white sheet, and put it in a white cloth garment bag- NO PLASTIC! Her dress is still white and looks great!

Ugh Im reading all these things about how if its heavy and on the hanger the material could stretch out... Im hoping they mean over time like years! I dont have any place to store my dress flat... Im worrying probably for nothing but I just want it to stay perfect! Im assuming they hang them up when u have them stored at the shops right? Sorry ladies Im just freaking out haha
