Me and FH met when we were 13. I was a student at his fathers karate school. 2 years later there was a corny halloween party at the karate school. I decided to bring my friend Ana. FH was busy macking it to my friend Ana. FH and I had never spoken up to that point. Anyway, the next day I am home and it was him on the phone asking about my friend. I told him he didnt stand a chance b.c he wasnt blonde w. blue eyes. He said , 'oh well, so whats up w. you' LOL.
Anyway, we talked for a few months, he was going through his parents divorce and things at home were pretty bad. I became his little counselor. Anyway, one day, his friend in the backround screams '__Gus is in love w. ___Erika___' I laughed it off(thought it was a joke) . Apparantly FH was very embarrassed b.c it was true. He figured if I wanted to pursue things I would call him the next day. I did call his house, but his stepmom picked up and never gave him the message. Soon after that, FH was kicked out of the house and I never saw him again until....
I turned 22 and decided that I wanted to go back to karate to get my black belt. When I saw my sensei (his dad, FFIL) he goes, 'wow, ur back, guess who else came back yesterday? Gus. ' So there we were on the floor trying NOT to stare at each other. He had gained like 70 pounds since we were 15 and I had put on my fair share as well. We barely said hi to each other and basically ignored each other after that. I was beg. to wonder if I had made up our 'friendship' when we were younger. I figured he had always been a conceited prick, why would he have changed now.
A few months later my bf of 2 years and I broke up. I was back on the market and FH had lost 50 pounds and was looking very yummy.
Later that summer we both happened to show up at a mutual friends b-day party at Webster Hall. I believe I was supposed to hook up w. that mutual friend that night (LOL) . But once I saw him, there was an obvious change of plans. We finally began to talk again and once he got comfortable he said to me 'hey, didnt we used to talk when we were kids?' I said yes. ' yeah, didnt I like you or something?'.... this is when he told me that his friend wasnt joking. lol Anyway, a few minutes later, we were leaning against one of the columns of the dance floor near the stage. He had his arm around my waist, I leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Next thing I knew his huge mouth had nearly ****** my lips off. lol. It was prob. the best kiss I've ever had.
Maybe I will take FH's last name after all... I just remembered how much I love him.
UPDATE: Thank you all for sharing your stories. For those of you who shared or are about to share, I want you to think about the series of events that lead you to be at the 'right place' and 'right time'. Its funny the way things work out. Im sure nobody thought that when their friend woke them up in the middle of the night, it would be to meet 'the one', or how a silly prank call could really be the call you make to your soulmate. It is a miracle that these events even took place. Whether it your FH was just a click away or a random drunken hook up (LOL) ... it worked out.

Chris and I met in January 2006 at Mulcahys in Wantaugh, Long Island. I was there for Happy Hour with all of my friends from CMP Media [who now make up iVillage and WebMD]. I saw Chris and his two friends, Chris F and Steve standing by the bar so I went up to them and asked them if they wanted to take a picture with me. We took the picture and I went back to my friends.
The next day while I was uploading the pictures to my MySpace profile I decided to browse guys in the area. Well to my surprise I found Chris' profile. So I sent him the picture that we took the previous night. He had asked me to hang out but I was seeing someone else and told him we could be friends.
A month later I broke it off with the guy I was seeing and changed my profile status to single. Chris must have noticed the status change so he messaged me and asked me to hang out. I thought, what the hell, why not. So we made plans for that night [Thursday] but my friend broke up with her boyfriend and was sad so I canceled on Chris and we made plans for that Sunday.
The next night was Friday and I was back at Muls for Happy Hour when I ran into Chris there. We talked for a little while and then he left. The next morning he called me and asked if I wanted to hang out, so I invited him over and we went and got our oil changed together [I know, hot first date lol].
The Sunday came and he picked me up and we went shopping and out to eat. After dinner we went back to his apartment and and watched movies. We spent 12 hours together that day and have been together ever since.

We met in college my senior year. He was a year older than me, but took a 5th year. I have a close group of friends from college, there were 12 of us total, FH knew 11 of them, I was the only one he didn't know. He actually dated one of my friends for about a month our sophomore year. I knew of him, but we had never been formally introduced. So the beginning of my senior year, I moved into an apartment with my girls and I saw him in the apt. building. I thought he was cute, he thought I was cute. One night, we met at a late night party and we were both pretty drunk. We ended up making out. My friends said we were the two drunkest people at the party!!! We were inseparable ever since that night.

Well i was living in miami at the time... My fsil was down with her brother ( FH) and wanted to hang out...I had known her since i was 19 and never met him... we went out that night and he told me that he was going to marry me that night.... I told him he was crazy... We spent the next few days together... I came home on the plane with him...I guess i was just as crazy as him lololo... We have to been together ever since... U can say we were luv at first sight..

I was working as a waitress at my family's restaurant. I have seen Eric many times before coming in and ordering something to eat. He never talked and always looked so mean. I thought he had a very bad attitude from the beginning. One Saturday he came in and ordered a dinner and a drink. After I took his order I started cleaning off my tables from previous customers and gathering my tips. Now, mind you, here I am minding my own business. He replies 'I saw your ad on Yahoo Personals!'. I was embarrased because he saw me on there. I replied, 'Oh you did huh?'. He tells me that he didn't know that I was single. When I told him that I was he told me that he was single too and was looking for a good woman. So, I started bragging on myself telling him what a good woman I was and how I was tired of all the no good men who didn't appreciate a good thing. He agreed and told me how hard it was to find a decent woman. He asked me for my phone number and my name and I told him my name and gave him my phone number. He gave me his as well. He told me to give him a call that night.
That night I was on the phone with my mother and told her that I met someone. My mother informed me about the three day calling rule 'Never call a man on the same night....Give it three days'. Listening to my mother I decided not to call him that night.
He came to the restaurant again the next day. He told me that he just gotten out of church and wanted something to eat. He asks me 'Why didn't you call me last night?' I replied that I was busy. It was sooo cute cause it looked like his feelings were hurt. After he purchased his food He told me that he was going to call me that same night and he did.
We were on the phone all night getting to know each other and realized how much we had in common. From that moment on I knew he was the one for me.

JOE & i MET THROUGH MUTUAL FRIENDS. MY FRIENDS AND I WENT OUT TO THE INN, IN LONG BEACH (LONG ISLAND). JOE WAS THERE WITH A FRIEND OF HIS WHICH JUST SO HAPPENED I WORKED OUT WITH AT MY GYM. MY FRIEND SUE GREW UP ACROSS TEH STREET FROM JOE. SO WE SAID HELLO BECAME FRIENDS & ACTUALLYJUST HUNG OUT AS FRIENDS AT FIRST. BUT NOT FOR LONG. FH and I met on a internet dating site. After a month of communicating, we finally met. We decided to meet eachother at the movie theater in Stony Brook. The movie we saw was Constantine with Keanu Reeves. (Both of us saved our movie stubs). After the movies, we went to Ruby Tuesdays for appertizers and drinks. We had a lot to talk about especially how we didn't like the movie. lol. We must have talked for about 3 hours. We have been seeing eachother almost everyday after that.

I had just started a brand new job and my best friend (who I was madly in love with) just moved to texas. I met FH and his friend at work during inventory. One day at work FH came up to me and told me he had a question to ask me after work. I assumed it would be something about him wanting to date or something and I wasn't ready for that so I tried to avoid him. Well he followed me out of the building and asked if I was single because he knew someone who was interested in me. I told him I wasn't looking for a relationship and it turned out to be his friend who liked me. Everytime I saw FH at work he would try to persuade me to hang out with his friend but I had no interest in him besides being friends. A few months later I asked his friend for FH's number and sent him a text message (jokingly) telling him I liked him and wanted to date. We went back and forth texting each other and what started out as a joke turned into the real thing.

Senior year of high school I worked in Michael's in Levittown. I made a few friends there and started to hang out with them. Well one of my work friends, who was actually my prom date, had this friend Wayne who was going to hang out with us one night. So I walk out of work to say hi and Wayne didn't even get out of the car, he just wanted to go home. So I'm thinking he's an a-hole.
Several months later, I cut school (one and only time ever!) because my friends through Mike all went to Catholic school and had the day off and were going to see Shrek. So, I call Mike to see where he was since he was picking me up but someone else answered the phone! It was Wayne! Mike had left his phone at Wayne's. So Mike picks me up, we go to Wayne's, Mike gets the phone and we leave. (Wayne still complains that he was not invited to the movies! But, they were trying to set me up with another friend of theirs at the time).
So Summer begins and I'm working and enjoying my last summer before college. Mike had a grad party and Wayne was there but at the time I sorta forgot about who he was and he was there with another guy Chris and they both had hats on and glasses and couldn't remember who was who. That's sort of when Wayne and Chris started to hang out with us more and more. So throughout the summer, I'm hanging out with all of these guys and one night, I had worked the morning shift and went to a concert that evening. I was in sweats all mismatched and sitting on the curb and Wayne sits down next to me. I said that I looked like crap because I was mismatched and tired and he said no, that I looked cute! The next couple of weeks we started flirting and I really started to like him so I told another friend of ours.
So, one night, I'm going out to dinner after work and Mike calls to say that the friend who I had told that I liked Wayne, told Wayne that I liked him! I screamed and was mortified! I didn't even want to be near him because I was so embarassed that he knew I liked him. Well, to make an even longer story shorter, it turns out he liked me too but didnt want to go out with me because I was leaving for college in a month.
August 3, 2001, Chris comes into Michaels and asks to speak to me. He says that Wayne wants to go out with me but was afraid to ask me, especially because his father might not approve of me since I'm not Italian or 100% Catholic. I told him that was silly and that I would go out with him. I didn't realize that Chris was actually ASKING me out FOR Wayne! So we hang out that night and when I get home, I got an IM from a friend saying that she heard Wayne and I were together and that's when I realized that we were actually dating! We hung out for the next few weeks and then I left for college and we survived the 4 years I was away and then some!

Mine is actually a weird story. I use to date FH bestfriend. It was never anything serious. We both just got out of a 3 yr relationship and we enjoyed each other's company. Well the guy must of been bragging about me that while on a bowling date, FH shows up on his own, b/c he was curious as to how this new girl looks like. The funny thing is that we both didn't really think anything of each other. I then saw him 4mths later, which is when the flirtation began. His bestfriend had an idea. Anyway me and the guy broke it off for other reasons and became really good friends but I never got to see FH, but we both always wondered about one and other. A year later I told the guy i was going to be @ a club. He took all of his friends. While standing @ the club I see FH. I automatically opened my arms and gave him a huge hug. We have been together ever since.

One summer my friends and I were going to hang out and we decided to invite FH out with us. I was assigned to call him. When I called him we talked on the phone for hours. We met at a bar in queens. I was with friends for one of their birthday's. We had gone to the met's game earlier. I was cranky from all the subway rides and not happy about being out. Mike was also their with friends and said he hadn't felt like going out that night, but his friends made him. We still haven't decided who went up to who first. After that night we talked on the phone a lot. He went away to Florida (He called me and said he missed me, I thought this guy is crazy) and when he got back we went on our first date to jones beach.

The first 2x , he stayed and chatted w/my friends , then i guess on the 3rd time he got the hint lol...ne way i came back and he was gone and then maybe 20 mins later he came looking for me to do a shot , i went and the rest is history ....i found out the next day that he was there w/some chick that his brother wanted him to hang out with ..ps she had no personality and i won his heart
