Does she mean the Bells of Ireland flowers? Sorry, but I don't know of any story.

Re: Story of the Irish Bell
I have a crystal Irish bell. It's for newlyweds. Whenever you are fighting one person rings the bell and keeps the peace. So the next time the other person can ring it. Its really cute. Ours has our monogram engraved on it. It was a gift from my aunt. There is actually a poem but I don't remember it.

Yes, thats it, but she is trying to find the poem that goes with it.... She is giving it to her sister for her sisters wedding I think.

Re: Story of the Irish Bell
It was ther first engagement gift I received. Actually you are to ring the bell to startle the 'bad fairies' who can bring evil into the marriage. So it 'cleans the air' so to speak and also acts as a way to stop the fight.
My FH and I rarely disagree but every so often he will kid around and say, 'Do I have to ring that bell?'... mostly if I take the remote when he leaves the room.
