I used to straighten my hair almost everyday but now just once in a while. Takes too long.
I have a straightner but it doesn't seem to work that well. I have about 20 products for my hair - but haven't found one that I love. What do you use? TIA

Re: Straightening Hair?
Is your hair curly or just wavy? I use the Frizz Ease Wind Down stuff and then I blow dry my hair straight. Takes forever and a day but it comes out much better than with a straightner.

I have curly hair and Im not fond of it..when I straighten it..I use Hang Straight by Aveda, I blow it out witha b ig round brush, then I use Semi Di Lino by Alfaparf along with the flat iron, the semidilino is AMAZING..it gives hair shine and straightens and smells great! THEN I use velcro rollers to give it a bit if body and Im good to go. Its a whole process for me..and its not fun..so I only straighten it now if we are going out..during the week for work and school..Im curly

I have curly hair.
I love going to the salon for a haircut and then they blow it out. I can never get it anywhere near how straight and nice they get it.

Same here. I get mine blown out at the salon cause it's so curly. I can't do it myself.

Re: Straightening Hair?
I think there was a post about this last week. I have curly hair as well and I have used just about everything out there! Rusk straight, Matrix Sleek is good. I have to go thru a process of sectioning, blowing, and then running the hot iron thru, Babybliss Pro (awesome and I bought it for $60 on EBAy! Its worth $100 & up). Final product, some Biosilk or any shine that tames down any frizzies left over.
My sister did do the Japenese straightening to her hair and WOW, straight. All she had to do was blow dry and leave. Its good for 6 months. Only thing I didnt care for is that it is PIN straight. No changing the style. It does work and easy to manage.

Dont laugh when I tell you what I put in my hair. I put gel let it set a bit then freez ease then let it set then I brush it straight as possible and then french twist both the sides into a ponytail meeting in back. it sounds like it would make my hair wavy but it actually makes it straight . I then wrap it in a towel and go to sleep for the nigh wake up and presto
