I just bought like my 3rd iron in 3 months. Every iron I buy starts to leak after a few uses. I always put the water in the spout before I plug it in....it's driving me crazy! Then the water clogs the steam spout! Can I 'dry' it out....anyone have this problem? I can't keep buying irons.

Do you turn your Iron Off? I think that's why it might leak if the knob is turned on. I'm guessing of course. It happens to me too

I have this problem sometimes but not so badly that I replace the iron.
Try using a little less water.
I only use water if I am going to use steam.
Don't start to iron until the steam function is working properly.

How is your steam feature getting clogged. Do you have hard water??? I know this is a high maintenance approach but maybe trying bottled water or filtered water thru the iron will prevent this???

Do you leave water in your iron after you use it? Be sure to drain it after you use it. Maybe that will help. Also, if you have a 'self-clean' function, try using that every once in a while. Sorry if that sounds like an obvious answer, but maybe you never used it before.
