If a bride doesn't have a FG, how would she manage to have rose petals dropped before her entrance?

Re: Strange FG/rose petal question
i've seen it where the rose petals are there from the very beginning of the ceremony. that works. unless the bride wants to be the only one to walk on them... then i suppose a bridesmaid could do it?

i have seen the same thing!! also, i have seen the aisle or aisle runner with a continuous row of petals on each side. that could be done before the ceremony as well!

Re: Strange FG/rose petal question
we dont have one either- one of my friends is going to decorate for me and put the petals all the way down the two sides of our aisle runner before the ceremony starts- they will then rope it off so no one disturbs it
i'll see if i can find a pic

Re: Strange FG/rose petal question
somebody does it ahead of time...which is what happens regardless if you have a FG or not bc a FG wont be able to get lets say the whole aisle runner and do it well. Its just for show

I know what you're talking about, that's a great idea! I think it's gorgeous, but what if you can't rope it off? Family and friends would scatter it by walking on it : (

It should be pretty easy for you to rope it off. Just take some tulle w/some flowers or ribbon or whatever you'd like decoratively and tie it or tape it somehow between the outer edges of the first seats as you enter the church. Then your guests will naturally walk toward either side of the church pews and enter the pews that way.

Hoping I get my story straight here, but Debi said her photographer/videographer told her that when guests throw rose petals, it makes for really pretty pics. I think Debi is looking at giving each guest a bag of petals, with instrustions, to throw at the couple, as they walk down the aisle, after the ceremony. Mary MOB

I think what you're referring to is after the ceremony. Instead of throwing rice or birdseed they'll throw rose petals. It is very beautiful.

You could be right!! I need to clarify that with Debi!! I remember she was debating if she should give the petals to just those on the aisle seats, and I suggested everyone should have them, so no one feels left out. Mary MOB
