Strange Invitation

Strange Invitation

I know everyone likes to share their invitation stores (of other weddings they were invited to)...so here is mine.

Invitation states Reception information - 7-10pm (hmmm...shouldnt this be on the reception card....what about cocktail hour???)

Reception card states the ceremony information - 5:00pm

No direction card, no hotel info (although that was mailed with the STD...but still shouldnt you send it again?)

Card stock is chocolate brown so it was hard to print on the rsvp card (black ink on brown paper...hard to read!)

Hmmm??? I think it might be strange. But thank goodness for Google and Mapquest!

Re: Strange Invitation

strange but thankfully we have information, mapquest and gps systems in our cars.
Heck I have 2 friends that are both meeting planners and they forgot to include directions from the church to the reception in their invitations. We found our way as did everyone else

Hmmmm ... well, its possible that not everyone is being invited to the ceremony ... so they put that info on a separate card, so they could choose who to send that part to ...

Directions were probably an oversight ... and I guess they figured everyone had the hotel info already??

And some people just don't realize that RSVP cards on dark cardstock are a bad idea

I forgot to include directions in my invite, so I'm sure other people have done the same!

Re: Strange Invitation

If the ceremony and reception are at the same place, there is no need for a reception card. I am not having one.

I got a strange invite last winter for a wedding in april in CA. The bride was from korea and didn't have a lot of experience with invitations, so things weren't done the way I expected, but the point still came across. Is this couple, or one part of it, possibly from another country with little info on how it's 'normally done'?

We didn't have a reception card either, b/c we could fit the info on the main invite and it looked fine....I think that's ok. And as for directions, some people forget!

But choosing dark brown for the response card, that's a toughie....maybe you should write on it with a white out pen
