Strapless dress brides...

Aliciahelene has me thinking now that maybe I should wear a necklace...

My dress is strapless, but there is a lot of work on the bodice...lace and beading, etc. My earrings are white topaz briolettes...very sparkly! I too thought that a necklace would have been overdoing it...but now I'm reconsidering...

Do you think I should be wearing a necklace?

do you have a pic of your dress?..

if this works- this is my dress, but I got in in ivory..it has work on it bu mostly embrodiery (sp?)...anyway- I'm wearing a small 3 strand ivory choker and small earrings..

I wore a strapless dress. I also had a beautiful bolero. I wore a necklace and earrings.

My dress has detail on top, but I plan on wearing a simple necklace like a pave heart drop or something like that. Where did you find your white topaz earrings. I am looking for a pair? Do you have a pic?

I have a strapless with only a small amount of beading around the waist. I am wearing small drop earrings, tiara, and cathedral length veil (w/tiny crystals)--No necklace.

I think the necklace is too much, but it really depends on personla preference. You just have to try it on w/your dress and see how it looks.

P.S. They appear to look very big in this pic, but they are not big at all. They are simple yet gorgeous...and let me tell you...they sparkle like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really think it depends on the dress. Mine is strapless. The only detail it has is a band of tiny crystals and pearls at the dropped waist. When I had my appointment with one of the accessory specialists at Kleinfeld's I was actually advised not to wear a necklace, b/c I would be 'divided up too much' - I already have the line at the waist, and the straight line across the top of the dress, and don't need something dividing me at my neck too. So, I'm just wearing drop earrings and a tiara. (The jury is still out on gloves, although I may forgo them too since my dress has more of a modern look to it.)

Also, I added a necklace to a picture of my dress in Photoshop and like it much better without!

You can't really see them too well in the pic I posted above, but the headpiece also has crystals in it which goes nicely with the earrings.

It all depends on you.
Personal preference. The bodice on my dress was filled with beads, and I labored on whether I should wear the necklace or if I did, what kind I would.
In the end, I got a nice sparkly one, and did not regret it b/c it matched the beads on the dress nicely.

Like I said, it's all up to you.

I didn't wear anything. I had a substantially sparkly headpiece, a lot of work on the top of my gown, and small earrings. It just looked like too much on me with the necklace so I went bare. It's totally preference, and how you feel in everything once the whole outfit is put together. I had a necklace on standby that day in case I changed my mind.
