All the spring bridal shows, had mucho strapless dresses. The only new thing was semi-detached sleeves which look uncomfortable. They are here to stay

I could only hope they are out. It's been so difficult for the past few years to find dresses with sleeves. I have had to buy things to cover up every stupid sleeveless and strapless dress I had to buy. When you've had major total reconstructive surgery on your shoulder you will understand the need to cover up.
True about not being able to find dresses with sleeves for the past few years. You would think that they'd at least design a few but some designers had none. I did notice that there are now more with sleeves in the bridal magazines. You mentioned shoulder surgery. Well, when I was getting my dress with sleeves, everyone thought that there must be a reason (scars, tattoo, not liking my arms, etc). Actually, I just like sleeves on bridal gowns, a lot!!!! I wear tank tops all the time, and strapless dresses on other occasions. I was married in 05 and my dress was from an 05 collection but it was NEVER featured in any ads.
