So my mom wants to have a 'strategy session' (her words) for planning the wedding. Any advice/lists? I want to be as prepared as I can be!

Re: Strategy Session with Mom?!??
Do you have a good relationship with mom? Is she going to try to run the wedding?
Don't forget whose wedding it is - be firm but polite in refusing something you don't want

Re: Strategy Session with Mom?!??
We have a fairly good relationship. I'm the only child so she is getting very excited about this. I'm extremely lucky in that my parents have volunteered to pay for almost all of the wedding. I'm still reeling from that! But since they're paying I know that there are going to be issues with what they want versus what we want. I guess I'm just looking to put together a task list for this meeting so that we can avoid as many pitfalls as possible.

Make sure if your parents are contributing that it is clear what the budgets are and how much they are giving you. This will save a lot of headaches later on.
Good luck!

OK, so I'm making a list from theknot's planner of all of the big things (hall/church/cake/limo/band/attire/block hotel rooms) but are there any other things Mom and I should discuss??
