Re: Stray kitties - help!!

Contact bide a wee. They take very good care of the animals until someone adopts them. They never kill the animals if they arent adopted or send the animals elsewhere if they arent adopted. Also, they wont let just anyone adopt the animals. I know because we got our cat from bide a wee and we had to fill out this whole questionaore and they're very interested in the lifestyle of the people to make sure they will be able to take care of/give ample attention to the animals. When I move in with fh we will adopt animals from them. I cannot speak highly enough about their services...in terms of how they treat customers and most importantly, how they treat the animals.

Good luck! Let me know how it turns out.

I wish I could take them!!! But DH and I already have three (blended fur family ) I don't know if youlive near East Northport but Little Shelter on Warner Road is great too. They are really careful about who they adopt animals to and don't kill them if they aren't adopted.
GL...let us know what happens

Re: Stray kitties - help!!

in the meantime, make sure they stay warm. its very important. Are their eyes shut? if they are still shut then means they are less than 2 weeks old. If they are open they obviously 2 weeks or older. No matter what they need to be kept warm. If you have a cardboard box you can put them in there with towels or a big basket or something.

not sure if by any chance you have the mini bottles to feed them, or you can use some sort of eye-dropper

I used to always take in stray kitties until they got better or if somebody found one i would do the same. But i cant anymore bc dh is allergic

Re: Stray kitties - help!!

Thanks for your help everyone!! I took the kitties in last night, put them into a cardbox with lots of towels and tee shirts. A neighbor who heard the kittens meowing came down with an eye dropper and milk. We fed them and they went right to sleep. Since everything happened late last night we couldn't reach any animal shelters. This morning we found a shelter near our apartment and drop the kitties off.

If anyone is interested in adopting them, this is the shelter they're at:
AC&C — Queens Pet Receiving Center
92-29 Queens Boulevard
Rego Park, NY 11374
(212) 788 4000

As soon as I get home I'll post pictures of them. They're really quite adorable and I would've kept them but DH and I are really allergic to cats.

The lady said one was a Brown Tiger and the other was a American SH Mix...?

Both were really nice and sweet.
