My FH's brother got engaged today ... i should be happy for them, but this is going to complicate things ...
they are talking about having our e-party together ... which is not fair, i think!
I am sad!!
OMG!! NOW THEY WANT TO HAVE THIERS THE MONTH AFTER OURS!!!!!!!!!!

Now my FH and his brother are fighting over this...
his brother also assumed I would help his FW with all her planning ...
umm NO!!!!! not happening! So, now they want me to do work and stuff for them?
this has been a crazy day! I am going to go and have a drink!

ugh i wouldnt want a joint e-party. waiting your life to get married and then when its your turn you have to share the spotlight? tough spot. i would just try to keep everything seperate

Have FH talk to him... from experience, family members usually take about 4-5 months to get back into wedding mode after a family member gets married...So when he gets married no one is really going to be interested bc all the attention has been on yours for so long, everyone will be sick of weddings by then...ALSO when he gets married alot of family will want to talk to you also to see how your first month of marraige has been etc, the attention will not fully be on your fbil...

His brother just is either A. going to have to deal with everyone being more interested in your wedding than his or B. suck it up and make it at least 6 months after yours...
at this point though his brother looks like a j*rk...dont stress it and DOnt let FH's family see you are upset over it, let FH talk to them...
Wow! He probably thinks a really cool unique idea/ I would just talk to him about it. I'm sure he'll see you're side of it...

i would ask why they are set on that date...i wouldnt want my wedding that close to my brothers...doesnt make sense...why would they WANT that? its like not having the psotlight to yourself

i would have a talk with him asking him if he would be courteous enough to space your weddings apart at least a 5 months or something. it will also probably be better for your family as well and that it would mean a lot to you. good luck!

OMG - a joint e-party. No way.... you and FH should have your own special celebrations. Let them do their own. Oh and the thing about you helping his FW with planning..... UMMMMM do they realize that you are planning your own wedding? Yeah you can help her- help her get a wedding planner to help her plan!!!!! I cant believe the nerve of people!!

That is just not tolerable, you shouldn't have to share your e-party or anything for that matter. Hopefully they'll realize that this is just not something you can share.
