STRESSED OUT! Can you return bridesmaids dresses???????

Hi

I am a bit diappointed with the dress that I chose for my BMS. It is a bill levkoff, beautiful dress...BUT here is the problem... they just arrived at the bridal boutique, I went yesterday with my mom to check them out (of course the manager wasnt there).
So here is the story... the sample i saw was a different color (lighter color) the beading on the dress blends into the color of the gown.
When I ordered my BMs gowns, I ordered it in a darker color. Stupid me thought that the bead work would match the darker color of the dress.
WRONG!!! The bead work is silver and stands out like a soar thumb!! There was no mention on the website or anything that would suggest that the color of the beadwork would be such a contrast. Even on the levkoff site, when u click on the change color, it has the beadwork in the same shade of the dress.

My question is has anyone EVER returned BMS dresses? and if so what did you do???

I don't know if you can. And being so close to the wedding I don't know if the prices would be the same.

Unfortunately, I would say you cannot return the dresses - they order them 'custom made' - in specific sizes - the bridal stores don't carry stock - only one sample. What color dress did you order? Do you have a pic of the dress?

I don't think you can return them but, see if there's a description on the website that mentions anything about the beads matching the color of the dress. It could be an error on the manufacturers part.

Speaking from recent experience, there is NO return on BM dresses.

However, I would look at the website and read the description of the dress very carefully to see what it says about the beading and whether or not it is supposed to match or always comes in silver or whatever. If it is a manufacturers errror they should fix it.

I would fight it... if they screwed up in neglecting to tell you that the beads won't match the color you picked, then that's misleadin. ESPECIALLY if the colors on the computer change the bead colors! That's not fair!

Thanks for the info, yes I also agree that it is misleading, I checked the website, it has no mention of the beading. I don't have a pic of the dress but it is bill levkoff #963 in euro cinnamon. I know that nothing can be done now, I am going to bring my MOH there tomorrow to check it out and see what she has to say about it. '

I just looked at the dress on the website and the picture is absolutely misleading. The beading looks as if it will be the same color as the dress when you change the colors (white, black, cinnamon...) and the description does not go far into the beading. At least you have that to back your argument

Although we attempt to represent our colors as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that the color shown on your computer will exactly match the actual garment. The tone of light on the fabric can make it appear different, as will computer monitors and printers. All of our retailers have all of our fabric swatches for you to examine in person.

even though it doesn't mention beading i think this statement releases them from any errors in colors variations in dresses which would include beading, all websites have a statement like this
unfortunately i don't think you can fight it
