Ahhh I'm totally stressing!! My sister is having her bachelorette party in August in AC. It's going to be about 15 girls and I'm planning the whole thing. AC is not cheap that time of year on a weekend. I researched a ton of hotels and the cheapest one I found was still $360 for an on-boardwalk hotel. My sister wants a hotel on the boardwalk so I only looked at those places. With 4 girls per room, it would run about $100 per girl. Most girls were ok with the price, but some were saying that's too expensive and asked if we can stay somewhere that's not on the strip.
I don't know whether I should go against what my sister wants so that all these girls can make it, or give her the hotel that she wants and risk losing a bunch of girls. My sister is not prissy by any means, but she wants to stay at a middle-of-the-road boardwalk hotel...and I don't blame her. It doesn't have to be the most expensive place, but I would like to honor her wish as much as I can. (She doesn't want to stay at a Sheraton or Hilton or something).
Just a lot of stress. I know I can't please everyone but I will feel bad if some girls who my sister wants there can't be there b/c of the price.

Have you looked on Groupon? They had a sale for AC recently.
I just got back from the Tropicana and its was a BLAST. My 4th time there and ALWAYS have a fun time!

I just got back from the Tropicana and its was a BLAST. My 4th time there and ALWAYS have a fun time!
THIS! $100 is such a good deal! and living social or groupon sometimes has great deals too!
If you cant find anything, I'd talk to your sister and tell her about the other girls' concerns. I'm sure you can find some common ground between the two

$100 is not bad at all. To help then save you could pre-game in the hotel room so you don't spend too much $ on drinks.
See if anyone has players cards and call the casino host to get a reduced rate or free room

Totally agree! I mean its not like you are planning a trip to Vegas! I went to one back in March in NYC and spent like $300 for one night but I had a blast and didn't mind! I mean if your friend is getting married and you wanna go to the BC, you should want to spend the money if its reasonable!

I have a players card for Taj Mahal but I could probably only use it for one room, right? I don't even have enough to get comped probably anyway... but my feeling with the players cards is it's not really fair if one room is reduced and the others aren't. I've been told that you can't book more than one with a players card... any truth to that? We need at least 4 rooms.

I think that's a good price, it is your sisters day so I wouldn't back down from what she wants..explain to the girls your sisters wish and hopefully that will help

I would try to at least use it for one room and everyone split the remaining room. After a night of drinking and gambling my friend and I asked the host to pull our cards together and they comped the room.

$100 isn't bad at all, but I know that since I just got excessed from my job, I wouldn't be willing to pay that on top of gambling/dinner/drinks/etc. So I would just keep in mind that not everyone can afford to spend that on just a place to sleep.

That's interesting b/c the Trop was the most expensive place I found. $455 per room, including tax. Trump Plaza we found for $407 and that's the cheapest one other than the Atlantic Club, which is formerly a Hilton, and although on the boardwalk, my sister doesn't want to stay at that one.

I would bring up your concens to your sis and ask what she thinks. If she really wants to be on the boardwalk then how about the girls who dont want to pay the $100 stay somewhere else? You can all meet up to go out and such.

Prices for these rms are crazy though.. I can go to Miami for 5 days plus airfare for $450!

I think that's a great deal for AC hotel in summer. Maybe someone has a card from one of the casinos and can get rooms free or cheaper?? I'd keep a watch on priceline or one of those sites

i think that is pretty reasonable. WOuld you be able to suggest putting more then 4 girls in a room? i know that means someone is sleeping on the floor but hey, it brings the cost down. they can always bring a blow up bed.
