Stressing About Ceremony Time

Stressing About Ceremony Time

Our wedding is in November, so naturally, that's when it gets darker earlier. I have my church ceremony scheduled for 3:30, and then we plan to take pictures out on the lawn by the church afterwards. I don't know if I should change it to 3 because I'm worried about having time to take pictures before it gets dark because that can happen around 4:30 already. Do you think I should have time, how long should it take to get out of the church and be ready to take pictures?

this is what I was told by my priest -
the ceremony lasts about 30-40 mins if you're having communion then it goes about an hour, maybe an hour 10 minutes. Then add in your receiving line. I think if you're having a ceremony you'll be ok, but if its a nuptial mass then maybe you should move it up.

I think you should move it up, if you can. If not then don't totally stress out about it-but you will have to make sure you can get outside in time because it does start to get dark @ about 4:30 like you said. But then again if the weather is not cooperating, which I hope it does, you will be inside anyway & it won't matter!!

Hmmm, I thinking I will move it to 3 now while I still can. What if the receiving line takes longer than I'd hoped? I don't want to have to be rude and rush and everything.
