stressng over the weather...

Setting a date for this wedding is driving me NUTS!!!!!!!! I wnt a winter wedding but I am petrified of the snow.... Then i want spring and i am afraid of the rain... Does anyone else stress as much as I do over the weather???

I felt the exact same way!!! I booked an April date & I'm nervous of the rain as well. Try not to think about it though b/c my friend banked on perfect weather for September and she had very bad rain, so just go with what you want b/c it's something we can't control.

I know you can never be so sure over the weather, have a summer wedding and end up having a heat wave... I am glad I am not the only one... Silly question but since I am new at LIW, can you tell me what HTH means??

LOL I'm new also HTH (hope this helps) under the chat tab there is a chat lingo area, I some times have to refer to it myself.

I would wonder about it but it tell you the truth if it rains it rains ..u cant control the weather and its good luck so I heard so im not to worry about it and plus thats why they sell big umbrellas ..just in case that would happen

i'm a feb bride. yea it would suck if there is a blizzard, but i won't worry about it yet bc there's nothing I can do about it
If it calls for snow, maybe I'll get the BM's cute matching snowshoes for the day of... besides, it won't be snowing IN sand castle!

Honestly, I figure weather is the ONE thing I have absolutely *NO* control over and really, you can't let that stress you out.
You're not going to cancel your wedding if it rains (yes, if it snows heavily, you MAY have to... but a little snow would be amazing for a winter wedding!)... you'll adapt your wedding accordingly! :)

If you pick a venue you loooove, then it won't matter if it rains because it will be beautiful indoors and out

Thanks girls! I know I have NO control over mother nature... but I cant help but worry... I guess light snow is beautiful and usually isnt freezing cold when it snows... Id rather the snow than the rain! oh decisions decisions!!

Unfortunately weather is the one thing we cant control. Last year we had lots of snow and this year so far we have been unseasonably warm. It can rain any day of the year so really there is no perfect date when it comes to the weather. Just go with what date works best or that u like and hope and pray for the best! That is what I am doing

Just pray and hope for the best. But pick a venue where there inside ceremony area is as beautiful as there outside area. Always have a plan B.

I wouldnt worry to much. Im petrified of a snow storm (which is a possibility in March!) however Im trying not to stress to much because theres nothing I can do. Last year I remember St. Patricks day was in the 70s, because I wore a tank top out.. so who knows!!

Yup! and I pulled out my snow boots in October!
FH's brother married in january a few years ago and it was in the 70's!!!

Id have loved a January wedding in the 70s!!! Sometimes I wish I lived where the weather was more predictable because lately I feel like anything goes on Long Island! Hoping I luck out but whatever comes I will make the best of it, because the money Im saving for March makes up for it
