Is anyone having a string quartet at their church. I am interested in having one. how much do they go for and who are you using?
I'm using counterpoint, which is on this site. It's costing about 600.00 for the qaurtet and they play about an hour. Believe it or not, it's pretty cheap compared to what I've seen out there. I was quoted 1500/hour from one. And I initially had the idea to go to a nearby college and solicit student musicians but I determined that it wouldn't be that much cheaper than counterpoint because I would have needed to provide them transportation as well as they aren't in business so if they didn't show what kind of recourse would I have?

We're getting our string trio through our DJ-After Hours Music. Because we're using his company for both, he's charging us $1500 total...we thought that was a pretty good deal!
