Strip joints...

Where do boys go nowadays to see girls take off their clothes? (interesting concept...)

Re: Strip joints...

I dont think they still go do they?
I mean there are places but is it as popular as it once was? There are some classy places and then there are the sleaze joints.
I know Tens in the city was good from what my DH told me. (He went there before we got married) Goldfingers is a dive.

Just a side note: I found out Tens closed down and reopend a few years ago and it turns out I now know the owner. I didnt know this last year. He offered for a night out for us but I dont know if I want to go Not a pude or anything but why do I need to see women take off their clothes

Oh goodness... I was just kidding about Wiggles. It's really trashy as far as strip clubs go (and yes, there is an hierarchy!).

Re: Strip joints...

The problem with strip clubs is... if they are anywhere NEAR residential housing... they can't strip period (not even topless).

The best strip clubs are usually found in either industrial areas with no residential apartments... or frankly in the middle of nowhere.

There is a place in LIC I think off Borden Avenue that comes to mind (right underneath the LIE)... and there is another place right off the BQE around Northern Blvd. I think both places are far away enough from housing where you can have a 'good time'.

But of course the best strip clubs can be found north of the border where more or less anything goes.

Re: Strip joints...

I don't know if its a city law (5 boros)... but one of the things that Guiliani/Bloomberg signed was a zoning law for strip clubs. I think its 500 feet or something like that. If you are within 500ft of residential... you have to dance in a bikini.

I am pretty sure this is the way Wiggles on Queens Blvd works. They should be bikini only cause of all the surrounding apartment buildings.

I am not a big strip club fan... maybe been to one 3-4 times my entire life. But I did hear about the laws surrounding them.
